New York @ Oakland preview
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
Last Meeting ( May 30, 2015 ) NY Yankees 5, Oakland 3
New York's Carlos Beltran on Sunday looks to finish his resurgent May in style when the Yankees try for a series split with the host Oakland Athletics in the finale of their four-game set. Beltran batted .162 with zero home runs and seven RBIs in April, but is hitting .308 with four homers and 14 RBIs in the second month of the season after belting a go-ahead two-run homer and adding an insurance RBI in Saturday's 5-3 victory — first-place New York's fifth in its last 17 contests.
Brian McCann has an eight-game hitting streak in which he is hitting .385 and drove in a run Saturday for the eighth straight contest, becoming the first Yankee to do so all as a catcher since Yogi Berra accomplished the feat in 1956. New York designated hitter Alex Rodriguez on Saturday moved to within 16 hits of 3,000 after extending his hitting streak to nine contests in helping the Yankees win for only the second time in their last 13 contests at O.co Coliseum. Oakland will try to snap its team-record eight-series winless streak at home (0-7-1) after falling to 4-22 in games decided by two runs or fewer this season. The A's Jesse Chavez continues to suffer from a lack of run support and opposes Adam Warren, whom New York manager Joe Girardi told reporters "is pitching as well as anyone in our rotation right now."

Warren is 0-1 and allowed three runs in 12 1/3 innings over five relief appearances against Oakland and has faced Ben Zobrist (2-for-9) the most.
Chavez ran his winless streak to four starts (0-3) after allowing an unearned run and five hits in eight innings of a 1-0 loss to Detroit on Tuesday. "I don't worry about my own individual record, I just worry about the team's,'' the 31-year-old Californian told reporters. ''I just try to give us a good chance to win every five days.'' Chavez is 3-0 with a 2.29 ERA in four games (two starts) against New York and has shut down McCann (0-for-7, four strikeouts).
