Los Angeles @ San Francisco preview
AT&T Park
Last Meeting ( May 20, 2015 ) LA Dodgers 0, San Francisco 4
After Thursday’s series finale against the San Francisco Giants, the Los Angeles Dodgers don’t return to AT&T Park until Sept. 28. That might be a good thing for the Dodgers, who have dropped all five meetings at AT&T Park this season by a combined score of 20-6.
Aces Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Kershaw are set to square off for the third time this season Thursday, when the Giants aim to extend their winning streak to a season-high six games. Catcher Buster Posey is 18-for-48 (.375) during his 12-game hitting streak for San Francisco, which has won eight of its last 11 to move within 2 1/2 games of the NL West-leading Dodgers. First baseman Adrian Gonzalez is two RBIs shy of 1,000 for his career for Los Angeles, which has been shutout in back-to-back games and has scored just two runs in the last 39 innings. The Dodgers need more production from veteran shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who is hitting .192 with 13 RBI.
