Manchester United looks to stay red-hot when they visit St. James’ Park on Wednesday to take on a flailing Newcastle United squad.
Michael Carrick is making a strong case to become the permanent manager of the Red Devils, while the seat is getting warmer for Eddie Howe.
Benjamin Sesko is in scorching form, and I explain why he’s set to deliver in my Manchester United vs. Newcastle predictions and free betting picks below.
Premier League predictions for Newcastle vs Manchester United
My Newcastle vs Manchester United best bet: Benjamin Sesko anytime goalscorer (+195 at Sports Interaction)
Benjamin Sesko got his first start under Michael Carrick against Crystal Palace on Sunday and delivered the match-winning goal.
Since Carrick’s appointment as Manchester United manager, Sesko is averaging a goal every 43 minutes and leads the Premier League with six goals.
And now that he’s starting, there’s no reason not to back him to score. His size, pace, and movement make him difficult for defenders to track, and he’s getting tremendous service from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes.
Newcastle have conceded goals to opposing strikers in six of their last nine matches. Look for Sesko to join that list.

Newcastle vs Manchester United same-game parlay (SGP)
The Red Devils have some injury concerns in the back line, with both Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire coming off injured at halftime against Palace. Both teams have scored in five straight for the Magpies, and that trend will continue.
However, I’m backing Man United to take all three points. The Red Devils haven’t won at St. James’ Park since 2020, but Carrick has taken 19 of a possible 21 points since his appointment, the most of any manager in the Premier League during that span.
Meanwhile, Newcastle’s only win in their last seven league fixtures came against Spurs, while they’ve lost five and had a scoreless draw with Wolves. Without Bruno Guimaraes, the Magpies simply aren’t finding ways to get results.
