We have 10 games ahead of us in the Premier League this Sunday, with Leeds vs Tottenham being one of the most important. The home side is in desperate need of three points, which could seal their Premier League future. It’s a tough ask for Leeds, but the Elland Road faithful will cheer them on.
It could be a big day on the opposing team too, with there being a strong chance that this could be Harry Kane’s final game in the white of Tottenham. Don’t miss our Leeds vs Tottenham Hotspur betting picks and predictions for May 28.

Leeds vs Tottenham picks and predictions
Another great Premier League season is drawing to a close this Sunday with 10 games taking place simultaneously. We know that Man City are champions, and we know that Arsenal, Man United, and Newcastle will be joining them in the Champions League. But who will join Southampton and go down?
There’s three teams in the mix for the two remaining spots. Our focus here is on Leeds vs Tottenham, with Leicester (vs West Ham) and Everton (vs Bournemouth) the other teams in danger. Leeds have the toughest task of all, they’re currently 19th in the Premier League, tied with Leicester at 31 points, with both teams two points behind Everton. Winning simply isn’t enough for Leeds – they need the three points, and then they need to hope both Everton and Leicester (who have better goal difference) lose.
This game isn’t all about Leeds though. While the Spurs are looking to the future, and somehow still looking for a new manager, the question is who would take the job when Harry Kane might be leaving the club? According to newspaper reports, it’s expected that the England star will look to leave the club this summer, and it’s our best bet that focuses on Spurs’ greatest-ever striker in what could be his last game.
We’re going to be backing the 29-year old to find the net against Leeds. Leeds have been terrible defensively this season, as they’ve given up 74 goals. That’s more than any other team in the Premier League.
They’ve looked better as a team since Sam Allardyce took charge of the club, but they’ve still given up seven goals in his three games, conceding at least two in each match. That is bad news with the superb Harry Kane facing them, especially given that this could be his final game in the famous white of Tottenham.
If it wasn’t for Erling Haaland’s outrageous goalscoring this season, then we’d be talking even more about Kane. He’s scored 28 Premier League goals in 37 games this year, and has been truly exceptional, despite the struggles that the rest of the team have suffered from.
With a terrible Leeds defense in front of him, we can be confident that Kane can get chances. Not only that, but Leeds have to win this game, so they’ll be throwing players forward and leaving spaces at the back. A player of Kane’s quality can take advantage. He’s averaged 3.4 shots per game, and given the chances that should appear, you can be confident he’ll get more opportunities than that.
Kane is in sensational form as he comes into this game. In his last 13 games for club and country he’s scored 12 times, drawing a blank on just two occasions in that timespan. He also scored Tottenham’s first goal in their 4-3 victory over Leeds in November, shortly before the World Cup.
You’re getting over even money on Kane to score, and +115 feels very generous given the potential game script in this one. It’s well worth backing Kane to find the back of the net here and end his season, and maybe his Tottenham career, with a bang.
My best bet: Kane to score (+115 at FanDuel)

Leeds vs Tottenham side analysis
Tottenham are narrow +140 favorites here, with Leeds at +175, and the draw at +295. Picking the moneyline winner is a tough one, and personally it’s a market that I’ll be staying well clear of. In all honesty, the Spurs players (bar Kane potentially) won’t be overly bothered about the result of this game, while for Leeds it’s everything. That makes it so hard to call given that Tottenham are by far the better collection of players.
Leeds will line up in a 4-3-3, with Big Sam looking to get them scoring. Picking Joel Robles in goal was a brave move by Allardyce when he came in, but he’s been solid so far. Kristensen and Wober will be in front of him, with Struijk and Ayling at fullback. A midfield three of Forshaw, Koch and McKennie will have a hugely difficult task – they need to support the defense and help keep the Spurs out, but also do enough to help the team to score the vital goals they need. Harrison and Gnoto should be either side of Rodrigo, with Patrick Bamford unlikely to play given that he was forced off with injury against West Ham last week.
Ryan Mason’s Spurs will line up with a 4-2-3-1, a tactic which didn’t work that well against Brentford last weekend. Sanchez and Lenglet will be at the heart of the backline, probably good news for Leeds, with Davies and Emerson Royal at fullback. Skipp and Bissouma should continue their stint together in midfield. The only anticipated change from last week’s defeat is that Richarlison could return to the team. He’d likely replace Danjuma and form a dangerous attacking three alongside Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-Min behind Kane.
Leeds vs Tottenham Over/Under analysis
Leeds have been terrible defensively this year, and even Allardyce hasn’t managed to hugely improve their performances at the back in the short time that he’s been with the club. It probably isn’t a big surprise to see that Over 2.5 goals is the shortest price in the total goals market at odds of -190, but it’s something that’s very hard to argue against.
Leeds have seen Over 2.5 goals in 64.9% of their Premier League games this season, with 61.1% of home games hitting that number too, showing that home advantage doesn’t really have a huge impact for them.
Tottenham have seen 61.1% of their games on the road hitting three or more goals, with their past three matches all hitting that mark. You’re not getting great value at -190, and there’s better ways to bet this game, such as the Kane anytime goal. But Over 2.5 goals is something that should land given the way that this game should unfold.
