The final game of six on Saturday’s Premier League schedule serves us up Leeds and Newcastle at a loud Elland Road. It’s been a difficult few weeks for Newcastle, while Leeds are looking to make it two home wins in a row.

The newly promoted side will be hopeful of taking advantage of a Newcastle team missing several key players, including their wantaway striker, Alexander Isak.

Our Leeds vs Newcastle predictions expect Newcastle’s quality to tell and the visitors to go home with the three points.

Read on for my betting picks for Saturday, August 30, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

My Leeds vs Newcastle best bet: Newcastle moneyline (+115 at Sports Interaction)

Saturday’s game at Elland Road is one that both teams will believe they can win. The stadium was rocking in the opening weekend as Leeds defeated Everton, but their 5-0 defeat at Arsenal last Saturday would have humbled them.

Leeds have a strong team and an excellent fanbase, who can give them an edge, but they lack real elite quality. It’s a concern that they allowed Arsenal to have 18 shots against them last week, and even with Newcastle’s issues in attacking positions, the visitors should get plenty of chances.

Alexander Isak is going to miss out again, with the striker looking to leave Newcastle, while Anthony Gordon is suspended following his stupid red card on Monday.

Playing with 10 men for the majority of the game cost Newcastle dearly, as did Liverpool’s injury-time winner. The reality is that Newcastle, even with a man less, outplayed Liverpool.

That’s the message Eddie Howe will be telling his players going into this game, and if they play anywhere near the level that they managed on Monday, then they’ll be leaving Elland Road with the win.

Leeds vs Newcastle same-game parlay (SGP)

Newcastle moneyline

Anthony Elanga 1+ shot on target

Bruno Guimaraes to be booked

Elanga has looked good since arriving from Nottingham Forest this summer and has one shot on target through two games. Now, with the added responsibility on his shoulders with the team missing Gordon, he’ll need to step up. Given Leeds’ defense looked leaky against Arsenal, he should get plenty of chances in front of goal.

The final leg of the Same-Game Parlay is for Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes to get booked. The Brazilian is a renowned hot-head and already has one card to his name this season. Given that he finished with 1o in all competitions last year, he’s ripe to get another one here. Combine that with the fact that his midfield partners, Joelinton and Sandro Tonal,i will be missing with injury, and it feels like he will have to do a lot of extra work.
