Premier League predictions for Chelsea vs Man United
My Chelsea vs Man United best bet: Both teams to score (-134 at bet365)
This Friday, we have two Premier League games, both of which could have a huge impact on the one remaining storyline left to play out.
While Liverpool are runaway winners, there are now four Champions League spots available with six teams in contention.
Arsenal are more than likely in, with Newcastle, Man City, Nottingham Forest, Villa, and Chelsea, all within four points of each other. The two teams playing on Friday, who are involved, Villa and Chelsea, are level on points, with the London club in the fifth and final spot based on goal difference.
Chelsea simply need to win on Friday against Man Utd to continue their charge and lock in that UCL spot for the 25/26 season. With the club’s finances coming under scrutiny, they have to find a way to boost their finances with lucrative European games.
The Londoners lost 2-0 to Newcastle on the road at the weekend, but they’d had four wins and two draws in their six Premier League games before that, and would hope to get back to winning ways against a Man Utd team who have all but given up on the Premier League. Ruben Amorim’s team have now reached the Europa League final, and if they beat Spurs in that game, they will qualify for the Champions League themselves. That focus on Europe has seen them fail to win their past seven in the league, and they only have four PL wins in 2025, a terrible return for a club of their size.
However, Man Utd, despite playing poorly in the league, have scored in 14 of their past 18 games in all competitions, which should concern Chelsea fans, even if the home side should be able to outscore the visitors. Chelsea have scored in all but one of their Premier League home games at Stamford Bridge this season, with their only blank coming in the first home game of the season. They’ve given up plenty of goals too, with both teams to score landing in 66.7% of the club’s games at home.
We haven’t seen vintage Man Utd of late, but they’ve scored in five of their past six EPL games on the road, with their past three games away from Old Trafford seeing the Both teams to score market win.
United’s players will still be looking ahead to Europe, which will probably see them lose this game. However, they’ve been managing to score on the road, and you’d have to believe that they will score against a Chelsea team that have only kept five clean sheets at home in the league in this campaign.

We’re adding a further two legs to the best bet, the first of which is for Chelsea to win. We’re now at the stage of the season where there are just two games left, and Chelsea, currently fifth, absolutely have to win. Chelsea can get an early advantage by winning this early kick-off and should win against a Man Utd team who have really focused on the Europa League and are now without a Premier League win in over two months.
The final leg of the SGP is for Manuel Ugarte to get booked. The Uruguayan has had a solid first season at United since arriving from PSG, and he currently has 10 yellow cards in 28 EPL games. On a yellow cards-per-minute basis, he leads the team, with 0.51 yellows per 90 minutes played in the Premier League. Against a tough Chelsea midfield, he should be in store for another battle, and therefore another card.
