Do the protesters realize that the Koch brothers own Georgia Pacific ?
"According to the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB), the Wisconsin Retirement System owns $5.5 million in Georgia Pacific corporate bonds. (Georgia Pacific is owned by Koch Industries.) This is the retirement system in which the overwhelming majority of state and local employees participate
These are the pension benefits that public employees are trying so hard to protect."

find georgia pacifics payroll and see how many minimum wage jobs there are as a percentage of overall jobs and see the error of your statement. the kochs are big business with very strong gop ties. they are no different than public service union bosses or soros in their influence peddling nature, they just have more money.
maybe theyll join soros in that really hot place.
the investments in the pension fund there are made by a quorum which has ample union members in the decision making process.

do you try to be the biggest hypocrite on here, or does it just come naturally?
"exactly
both sides need to stop all the hate talk and just get down to the
business of governing for all the people. Were supposed to be a nation
of one."
"rick, just because politics have been like that forever that doesnt mean
it cant or shouldnt change. This act should be the starting block to
stopping the way politics have been run in our country for way to long.
Its time for both sides to come togther and start doing the right thing
for the good of all, not just one party."
and thank you for yet another liberal proving my point https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=87&sub=100991616

Yeah just another goofball trying to twist mt qoutes. When i made that quote, it didnt mean for a dickhead business connected Governor to strip away all the rights of workers away that took 100 years to get. Its amazing steveo how all you like to do is attack the worker, but you never say anything about the scumbag corporations who arent paying their fair share in taxes, who are the real culprits in why states are short cash. Nope just let those people off the hook, you must sleep better. Unless you are the proud owner of one of these big corporations its makes no sense as to why you would defend them on a daily basis.

so you think its okay for someone to be for civil speech when its conservative allegedly with the poor tone, but not to be for it when its liberals? and then when confronted with the issue (in multiple threads i might add) to completely dodge and ignore a simple question.
you can have a differing belief, just have a constant belief and dont change it when it suits your interests.
and didnt you whine to the help forum like a little girl? hardly the grown up thing to do.

I've seen you refer to or say this a few times. Why can't we just say "BOTH BAD"?
most of us can, but as you can see by some of the posters in this thread, they are incapable of saying anything negative about those with similar beliefs.

union members portraying themselves as the little guy is disgusting and dishonest. they are major major players probably second only to the banks in successfully buying lawmakers

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has cited WEA Trust, a company that specializes in providing health insurance to unionized school employees, as the number one reason why collective bargaining must be reformed.
WEA Trust is controlled by the Wisconsin Education Association Council – WEAC – the state’s largest teachers union.
EAG (Education Action Group ) produced an in-depth report revealing how the teacher unions use the collective bargaining process to demand that WEA Trust be used as their health insurance provider.
WEA Trust is typically the most expensive insurance on the market, but no matter. The union’s insurance company gets a fat contract, and the taxpayers are left with the bill.
Gov. Walker has said publicly that if Wisconsin school districts could move away from WEA Trust, they could save upwards of $68 million a year. That would certainly help fill the $3.6 billion budget gap.

The unions agreed to the fiscal concessions Walker asked for. Walker said no, he's going to end collective bargaining for all state and local employees except for police, state troopers and firemen, the same unions that backed him in his election.
It's all about balancing the budget, though.

You want an answer for that, yeah i think its okay for them to compare walker to hitler or any other friggin dictator, because this guy walker is trying to strip people of their rights and beat them down, taking away things they have worked for all their lives. This Governor for some reason thinks hes God, and can do whatever he wants for his corporate buddies.
Really start directing your anger towards the corporate person in our country and have done this to all the states and stop attacking the average guy just trying to bring home a paycheck for his family.
