I'm just saying...a minor leaguer can't be a MLB ROY...and that's the way I interpret it. I don't interpret it based on the fact that it's called a "prospect contract".

I don't know about you...but I'm still looking foward to Joba and Phil Hughes turning into what they were touted as when they were Minor Leaguers.
And if we were in court...and you brought up the definition...I'd bring up what the commish (Boss) led the people of the league (company) to know what his definition was. I had no idea that, when reading the rules, that we were supposed to look up certain meanings instead of reading the rules that we were told countless times to do if we didn't understand anything.

I interpret the rules that way because that is how they were stated. Sure...the rules don't say anything about not being allowed to give a prospect a contract...but where do they say that you CAN?
I give you the RULES...AS STATED...and you tell me to look up prospect because that's how YOU interpret it.
I see it that YOU are the one who is interpretting things. I'm the one who is, not interpretting as it seems like a word that doesn't fit in my case, but who is reading the rules for what they are and not coming to conclusions based on titles.
The book, "To Kill a Mockingbird", is not really about "killing a mockingbird" is it? You have to read what's AFTER the title to figure out what it's about. Drawing conclusions based on the title is not a way to go about things. Just like the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
