Stop being a moron making stupid comparisons. Watching this season I see a Yankee team with 1 starting pitcher they can count on AND HE HAS A OPTION AFTER THIS YEAR. Yanks over the next 5-10 year have 2 rocks in their franchise. Teixera and Cano. THATS IT. Sox have Crawford, Gonzo, Pedroia, Youkilis, Ellsbury, Lester, Buchholz, Bard...
Could the Yanks make moves? Obviously but i am not into hypatheticals. Right now with this team they run out on this field they will be mediocre for the following 5-10 years.

Yea...because Sabathia is going to opt out and go to another team who will give him more money than he's making now. If he opts out...it's only to get more money from the Yankees.
And of course the Yankees will suck in the next 5-10 years if they don't replace the players who get old. But you HAVE to talk about hypatheticals because you KNOW the Yankees won't just sit back and wait. They don't know how to do that. The last time they let their team play with a rotation involving Ian Kennedy, Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberlain was in 2008 and they missed the playoffs. They followed that up with Sabathia, Tex and Burnett and won the World Series.
Also...Granderson will be there for a long time.

sparky: u around ? i saw your post about Rizzo.. the question would be what are you willing to give up for him.. my team is so fuckin frustrating.. one week my offense gets the job done but my pitching sucks and this week i already have 3W's, 40 K and ERA of 2.25 and a WHIP of 1.11 but a non-existent offense... i cant get them together.. i might need to start re-tooling for next year if this keeps up another wk or 2.. 5-5 weeks dont help me..
