The verdict, which is valid only in the Cologne area, could "send a signal," he said, but it was not clear if other courts would follow this example. He did not know of any similar cases before other courts in Germany.

"I've received thousands of emails in the past few days, from all over the world," he said. "The most remarkable thing is that the emails from Israel were the most balanced and moderate."

Jewish, Muslim, Catholic and Protestant leaders in Germany denounced the ruling as a serious intrusion on religious freedom. Even Germany's foreign minister spoke out, saying such faith traditions must be allowed in a tolerant modern society.

Of course religious leaders agree. Religion has a monopoly on terrorizing people.
Taking away their sick tradition originated from a backward shepard people in the Middle East is a step in the right direction. We have also stopped burning witches at the stake though it was a religous ritual.

    Religion is terror.

Thank god (haha) for the people trying to stop the mutilation of small boys....and small girls which still takes place in backward parts of the world.

Thanks dl... but I don't blame BMA... he is simply living up to SAF expectations.

Being called anti-semetic from someone who isn't capable of rational thought, and who needs to cut and paste 99% of his posts, is fairly comical.

The choices he's made with his cut and paste jobs is also comical... such as this beauty.

Why would the professor BMA cited, claim "the most remarkable thing" is the e-mails from those of Jewish faith were balanced and moderate?

That would suggest the professor did not think those of Jewish faith were capable of being balanced and moderate. Quite a telling trait, especially for someone who BMA wishes to copy and paste words from.

Could it possibly be that BMA is anti-semetic?

    Summary

The article post #1 refers to a 4yr old Muslim boy.

The ruling only applies to Cologne .

As the Jewish population of Germany is very small, some sources quote 120.000, the impact is felt more by the Muslim population of greater than 4 million.

So the thread is misleading and an inaccurate interpretation of the quoted article.

There are some medical indications for circumcision.

This is not an opinion to be debated it is a fact to be dealt with.

As the holocaust has been cited in several posts in this thread, a remembrance of all those that died is appropriate.

RIP  6 million victims of the holocaust.

    USA  Israel friends for ever.

if facts speak for themselves... just let people read the thread and make up their own opinion... rather then frantically spamming up this thread desperately trying to backtrack...

the volume/number of your posts makes you looks like you are panicking because you bit of more then you could chew and the site once again sees you for what you real are...

    Indeed.

Meanwhile, junior partners in Merkel's ruling coalition government the FDP are pushing for a law to clarify that circumcision remains legal in Germany, FDP integration expert Serkan Tören told the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung newspaper on Saturday.

"If Germany bans circumcision on religious grounds the nation shouldn't bother with any further integration policies," said Tören, who himself is a Muslim.

"A ban on circumcision would be the clearest signal to the Muslims in our country that they aren't part of Germany, that they aren't even welcome."

    Where did Renton

    conjure the thread title from

'German court takes aim at the Jewish religion by ruling that religious circumcision is an assault'

The Renton misleading take on the court ruling.

    Why ? do that

Some help for you, as you missed those classes

    Use remarkable in a sentence

The remarkable changes wrought during my lifetime in the political affairs of Germany I can merely indicate here.

She is a woman of most remarkable discernment.

And this spring was the most beautiful and remarkable known to the upland riders of southern Utah.

What remarkable names those diseases have!

And I take this opportunity to set down the fact that I have rarely met a more remarkable man.

The place has thirty or forty thousand inhabitants and is remarkable for being the birthplace of harlequin.

Since I began teaching in this school, the aspect of many branches of science has undergone a very remarkable transformation.

A strong current sweeps through it, and it is remarkable that all of its houses have not gone before.

The coercion of some things is remarkable; as bread and molasses.

This lady, a remarkable woman in every respect, who gave me many tokens of maternal affection, insisted on the right to warn me
    .
What did that remarkable man have in mind?

A high vase of remarkable beauty, filled with white roses, stood on the gueridon.

His hands were not those of a laborer, and his features were delicate and refined, as well as of remarkable beauty.

He was a man of a remarkable appearance, and not to be lightly forgotten.

She flushed a little, but otherwise retained her remarkable composure.

Hope this helps you to fully understand what the professor said

The use of remarkable by the professor in the first part of his sentence is a positive enhancement of the second  part, not a negative or derogatory .

Yet another attempt to mislead and distort what people or articles say.
