that's some scary garbage.  our government

the industry quietly inserted provisions to rush new crops onto the market after only a cursory review of their safety.

Monsanto paid well for these radical additions. OpenSecrets.org reported that in the first three months of this year, the corporation spent $1.4 million lobbying Washington. Last year, Monsanto spent about $6.3 million total, more than any other agribusiness firm except the tobacco company Altria.

I don't know the details of this bill but if Monsanto is behind it, it has to be bad for American society.

The really sad part is that this thread only has three posts. I wish more people knew what was going on with their food. Even if they changed their diet half the time and visited farmers markets(myself included) it would go a long way to changing American agriculture and it would also help the environment.

Why are any of you shocked by this?  Corporations run our country, not our govt and the politicians elected to do it. Those clowns are all bought and paid for.

When the corporations totally destroy our country, they will just move to the next one to take apart piece by piece.
