Our best NHL player props for Saturday, October 11
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Connor Bedar Over 0.5 points
The Chicago Blackhawks host the Montreal Canadiens in their home opener on the NHL Network. It’s the centennial celebration for Chicago, providing an extra spark for what should be an energized home crowd.
If any player is likely to feed off that energy, it’s Connor Bedard. The young superstar is expected to take another big leap this season, as he appears faster and is shooting harder than ever.
The results of his offseason work were on display in Thursday’s game against the Boston Bruins, when Bedard recorded two points.

Prop #2: Evan Rodrigues Over 0.5 points
Another player to target in this market is Evan Rodrigues, who has taken on an expanded role for the Florida Panthers due to injuries to Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk. Taking advantage of this situation, Rodrigues has recorded a point in each of the first two games of the season.
That success could continue against the Ottawa Senators, who visit Florida on Saturday evening. Goaltender Linus Ullmark will take the crease for Ottawa, and he looked shaky in his season debut.
In that outing, Ullmark surrendered four goals on 25 shots for a .840 save percentage (SV%).

Prop #3: Tom Wilson Over 0.5 points
Speaking of shaky goaltending, the New York Islanders’ Ilya Sorokin has yet to find his form. Through one regular-season and two preseason starts, Sorokin is 1-2 with a fade-worthy .867 SV%.
Sorokin allowed three or more goals in each of those three outings.
That slow start bodes well for Tom Wilson, who aims to lead the Washington Capitals in this road game. Wilson tallied a point in the season opener and has notched four points over the past three meetings between these teams.
