Our best NHL player props for Monday, October 13

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Cale Makar Over 2.5 shots on goal

-135 at BET99

The Colorado Avalanche are off to a good start this season, winning two of their first three games. By no surprise, Cale Makar has done his part. Arguably the best offensive-minded defenseman in the league, Makar has tallied three assists and eight shots on goal.

While the Avs lost to the Dallas Stars the other night, Makar cashed the Over in SOG with five. He was busy, and Makar also had two shots on net in the game before that. Colorado faces the Buffalo Sabres today, and the Calgary native registered six SOG in two meetings with Buffalo last season.

They’re also allowing 32 SOG per game, which ranks 25th in the NHL. Makar shouldn’t have any issues generating offense here.

Prop #2: Kyle Connor anytime goal

+125 at BET99

Kyle Connor inked a historic extension with the Winnipeg Jets before the season, and he’s certainly lived up to that $96 million price tag so far. The forward has three goals and an assist in just two games, tallying a hat trick in the season opener against Dallas.

Connor had a career year in 2024-25, bagging 41 goals in 82 games. He’s become one of the top scorers in the NHL, and based on how he’s started 25-26, there’s no reason to believe Connor won’t have another brilliant campaign.

The Jets face the New York Islanders today, and although Connor didn’t score against them last season, he did have four assists. The Isles have yet to win, and they’re allowing four goals per contest. Connor should have no shortage of opportunities to net his fourth of the year.

Prop #3: Kirill Kaprizov Over 0.5 assists

-115 at BET99

Kirill Kaprizov was another superstar to earn a lucrative deal before the season started, inking the richest contract extension in NHL history. That brings immense pressure, but the Minnesota Wild standout has lived up to expectations. He’s lighting it up early on, tallying six points in just two games (two goals, four assists).

The Russian has cashed the Over in assists in both contests, even setting up three goals in the season opener. A versatile offensive threat, Kaprizov collected 31 helpers in just 41 appearances last season.

While Kaprizov didn’t have any points last season against the Los Angeles Kings, Kaprizov is hot, and the visitors haven’t looked great defensively through the first week of the campaign.
