Maple Leafs vs Flyers prediction

Maple Leafs vs Flyers best bet: Auston Matthews anytime goal (+115)

The Toronto Maple Leafs hit the road and their first stop will be in Philly tonight.

Toronto hasn’t fared well as the road team this season, sporting just a 5-10-2 record, so they’ll need their captain to pull through with another big-time performance

Luckily for the Buds,  Auston Matthews has returned to being one of the most dominant scorers in the NHL.

The Leafs’ captain has goals in three straight games and has scored in four of his last five contests, totaling seven goals in that span.

He’s shooting the puck a lot more now too, averaging 5.8 shots per game, and many of them coming from high-danger areas of the ice.

Moreover, Matthews has quite the impressive scoring streak intact against tonight’s opponent, with points in 12 straight games, nine of which counting for goals.

Additionally, the Leafs as a whole have had a lot of success against the Philadelphia Flyers, winning nine of the last 10 meetings, scoring an average of 4.6 goals in those contests.

Toronto also won the first meeting of the season back on November 1, with Auston Matthews scoring the games’ first goal.

Maple Leafs vs Flyers same-game parlay

I’ll add Over 0.5 assists from Matthew Knies to SGP as well. He’s playing with more urgency since the Marc Savard firing, with nine points in his last seven games, and assists in two of his last three outings.

On the theme of offense, I’ll add the Over to my SGP. Both teams have been playing a lot of high scoring games lately, and the Over has hit in eight of the last 10 meetings between these two clubs.

Maple Leafs vs Flyers SGP

  • Auston Matthews Over 0.5 goals
  • Matthew Knies Over 0.5 assists
  • Over 5.5
