The Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils are each looking to make it two wins in a row as they face off in Newark at Prudential Center on Sunday afternoon.
The NHL odds board has the Devils as slight home favorites with both teams on a back-to-back.
The Lightning won the first two meetings back in January with 4-3 (overtime) and 6-3 wins at home.

Lightning vs Devils predictions
The Tampa Bay Lightning have been limping after the All-Star break with a 4-5 record in nine games. They’ve been without defenseman Mikhail Sergachev for about a week now and depth forward Tanner Jeannot joined him on the shelf this week.
That didn’t hold them back on Saturday as Nikita Kucherov led the way with three points, including an assist on Brayden Point’s eventual game-winning goal.
"We knew how big these points were coming in for both teams," Point said. "I liked our game. I liked our compete, and I'm happy we got the job done, especially considering last game. They took it to us pretty good (a 6-2 Islanders win on Feb. 8)."
The Lightning got outshot 34-21 in the game but managed to keep the Isles off the scoreboard until Patrick Roy pulled the goalie in the third period.
Things might open up a bit more on Sunday afternoon against a New Jersey Devils team that's had some issues defensively this season. Well, their issues have more specifically been between the pipes.
Rookie goalie Nico Daws made 23 saves on 26 shots against the Canadiens on Saturday. It should be Akira Schmid (5-7-1, 3.26 GAA, .893 SV%) in net on Sunday with Vitek Vanecek out due to injury.
The Devils have allowed 10 goals in two games to the Lightning this season while also scoring six themselves. Both games went Over 6.5, as did their two last meetings last season.
Andrei Vasilevskiy got the start on Saturday for the Bolts so they’ll likely turn to backup netminder Jonas Johansson, who's 10-7-5 with a 3.54 GAA and .886 SV% this season.
Not only are their two lackluster goalies in net, but these are two of the higher-scoring teams in the league as well. The Lightning score a seventh-best 3.39 goals per game with the Devils rounding out the Top 12 at 3.33.
My best bet: Over 6.5 (-135 at DraftKings)
Lightning vs Devils same-game parlay
There should be goals on Sunday afternoon with both the Devils and Lightning scoring a few times apiece. Neither team is strong in net and we could see this game be even more open with no days rest on either side.
The Lightning have seen a lot of their role players leave town in the past few years but the core has remained constant. That includes Brayden Point, who scored his 29th goal of the season on Saturday afternoon.
Point has been rather consistent as of late with a goal in four of his last five games now. He also has eight goals in his last dozen contests.
Finally, the Lightning at +1.5 should be a good leg to close out our parlay. The Devils struggle to close out teams at home with a 5-24 record against the spread. The Lightning could very well end up winning this game outright but the +1.5 gives us some flexibility.

Lightning vs Devils moneyline and Over/Under analysis
The Lightning are slight road underdogs in Newark on Sunday afternoon between -106 and +102 (DraftKings) after opening at +100. The Devils odds sit at -115 as of Saturday night.
The total for this game opened at 6.5 with the Over favored at -135. That’s led to some books moving the line up to a flat seven. You can get Over 7 (+110) and Under 7 (-134) at BetMGM.
Keep an eye out for goalie confirmations on Sunday. Andrei Vasilevskiy is known to play back-to-backs at times but that may not be in the cards this year after his back injury. However, Nico Daws won both halves of a back-to-back set earlier this month so that’s not out of the realm of possibility.
In any event, I'd still go with the Over 6.5 and a slight lean to the Lightning.
