The Carolina Hurricanes are a significantly more effective team at home, and that's reflected in the numbers of many of their key players.
Seth Jarvis is the perfect example of that. My Devils vs. Hurricanes predictions expect a productive offensive performance from a guy who's been lights out in Carolina all season long.
Who will win Devils vs Hurricanes Game 5?
The Carolina Hurricanes are a different beast on home soil. They posted a remarkably strong 31-9-1 record during the regular season and carried that momentum into this series, picking up multi-goal victories in both home games.
They have more depth than the New Jersey Devils, who are playing without superstar Jack Hughes as well as three everyday defensemen in Luke Hughes, Jonathan Kovacevic, and Brenden Dillon.
With a relentless forechecking game that will be even more effective against an injury-plagued defense, this is a prime opportunity for the Hurricanes to advance on home soil.

My Devils vs Hurricanes pick: Seth Jarvis Over 2.5 shots (+100 at Sports Interaction)
Seth Jarvis has some of the most drastic home/road splits you will find. The hard-nosed winger has generated at least three shots on goal in 66% of his home games this season. That’s a stark contrast from the 28% hit rate he’s managed on the road.
Matchups no doubt factor into those numbers heavily. Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour generally uses the Jordan Staal line to slow down the top unit of opposing teams, allowing for the Sebastian Aho-Seth Jarvis duo to take advantage of easier matchups.
That’s simply not the case on the road as Carolina’s top unit, in this case, would see a lot of Nico Hischier’s line in New Jersey. It’s much easier to get away from that in Carolina.
He's struggled to produce shots when Sheldon Keefe and the Devils have last change, failing to record three in any of the three games in New Jersey.
With the Hurricanes just one win away from advancing to the next round, expect Jarvis and the Hurricanes’ best players to come out flying in Game 5.
Devils vs Hurricanes same-game parlay (SGP)
Timo Meier has played tremendously well in this series. His on-ice impacts are excellent, and he's accounted for a lot of what the Devils have generated during his minutes. He leads all players in shot attempts, scoring chances, high-danger opportunities, and rebounds created. In some cases, there is nobody even close.
Meier has recorded at least seven shot attempts in all four games and recorded 3+ shots on goal in three straight. No matter the matchup, he's flourished.
Finally, we have Andrei Svechnikov. He leads the Hurricanes in goals, points, shot attempts, scoring chances, and rebounds created.
His line has spent a lot of time against New Jersey’s depth units and completely dominated them along the way. He has recorded at least two shots in 10 of the last 12 against the Devils, and there’s no reason to expect him to slow down.
