Outside of a road win against the lowly Panthers, the New Orleans Saints have looked like the worst team in the league. They lost by 14 as two-point home favorites against the Falcons on Sunday, and haven’t covered +5.5 in any of their last six losses.
Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins have turned a corner a bit in recent weeks.
The Dolphins have won three of their last four, and two of those wins were by double-digit margins. Now, coming off their bye week, the Fins are fresh and rested with a soft home matchup on the way.
Early Saints vs Dolphins total pick: Under 42.5
I don’t trust either offense to put up too many points. The Commanders held the Dolphins to 16 points in Week 11, and Miami did well to hold Washington and Buffalo to 13 points apiece in its last two games.
The Saints haven’t scored more than 20 points in any of their last six games, including just two games with more than 14.
This should be a low-scoring game in Miami.
