Lamar Jackson returns to the Baltimore Ravens lineup and while the Miami Dolphins are reeling, there may be some slivers of hope that can give them hope in this matchup.

Ravens vs Dolphins TNF predictions

Ravens vs Dolphins TNF best bets

Dolphins Dolphins +7.5

-110 at bet365

There’s undoubtedly a gap between these teams with Jackson active, but there’s no denying that the Dolphins are much more competitive at home, especially after seeing them keep it close with the Chargers and Patriots this season.

I think they’ll make enough plays to avoid getting embarrassed and cover the 7.5.

Ravens/Dolphins Over 51

-110 at bet365

There’s an absolute avalanche of trends and stats to support a lot of points being scored at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Over has hit in nine straight Miami Dolphins home games. The Miami offense has been showing up in these as it's scored at least 27 points in eight straight home games, which includes exactly 27 in all three of their home stands this season.

The Baltimore Ravens are also trending heavily toward the Over, as it’s hit in six of their seven games. Most notably, the four games that Lamar Jackson has played have all resulted in at least 57 combined points being scored, with an average of 66. Baltimore has scored 30+ points in seven of Lamar’s last eight regular-season starts.

Aside from both cashing in on a lot of Overs lately, another thing the teams have in common is defenses that each rank near the bottom of the league in many important categories.

This game sets up nicely for Tua Tagovailoa and a Dolphins offense coming off their most impressive performance of the season. Tua should have plenty of time to work against a Ravens defense that ranks 30th in pressure percentage and 25th or worse in yards per play allowed, opponent third-down conversion percentage, and opponent red-zone touchdown conversion percentage.

On the other side, Miami’s defense is right there with Baltimore in those categories and has allowed six of its eight opponents to drop at least 27 points.

Now, combine all this with some lovely Miami weather, and we’ve got ourselves a great recipe for an Over!

Ravens vs Dolphins TNF TD picks

Dolphins Nick Westbrook-Ikhine anytime TD

+500 at bet365

While Baltimore's offense might be back, its defense — particularly in the secondary — is still a sight for sore eyes. That should be music to the ears of Tua Tagovailoa, who could be throwing a lot on TNF.

The Ravens are 7-point faves, meaning the Dolphins will probably be playing catch-up for much of the night. Jaylen Waddle will be Baltimore's No. 1 priority, and I think that opens the door for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Injuries to Tyreek Hill and Darren Waller have left Tua short on weapons, and NWI is in a perfect spot to step up and finally have a breakout game with Miami.

Westbrook-Ikhine is yet to find the end zone with the Fins, but this is a guy who scored nine times last season. He clearly has the ability to get open in the red zone, and I think he and Tua will link up for a score against the beaten-up Ravens' D.

It almost feels like an "if not now, then when" situation, and at +500 I'll happily toss half a unit on that "now" be under the bright lights of Thursday Night Football.

If that's too rich for your blood, Malik Washington at +350 is looking mighty fine as well.

Ravens vs Dolphins TNF props

Ravens Lamar Jackson Under 6.5 rushing attempts

-125 at bet365

Lamar Jackson says that he is 100% healthy heading into Thursday Night, but I'm calling BS on that. You don't go from missing an essentially must-win game on Sunday to miraculously being fully healed in four days.

While I don't think Jackson will be significantly hindered by his hamstring, the lingering effects should make the Baltimore Ravens quarterback less able (and willing) to run the ball. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins' feeble pass rush isn't going to force him out of the pocket.

Jackson has finished with fewer than 6.5 rush attempts in three of four games this year, so expect him to stay in the pocket on TNF.
