While the walls may be caving in for the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles draw a favorable matchup as one of the biggest favorites of Week 15 when they host the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

Still, my early Raiders vs. Eagles predictions and NFL picks call for Vegas to cover the monster spread in a low-scoring bout between the pair of struggling offenses.

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Raiders vs Eagles spread pick: Raiders +12.5

-110 at FanDuel

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost three straight and failed to cover the spread in each as a favorite while ranking 30th in offensive DVOA. Obviously, the reigning Super Bowl champions are better than the recent run, but backing Philly at this long of a number is asking too much for me.

I lean to plugging my nose and taking the points with the underdog Las Vegas Raiders.

There’s nothing to be excited about on either side of the ball for the Raiders, with Las Vegas checking in 29th in offensive DVOA and 28th in defensive DVOA during the same three-week stretch.

Still, Philadelphia has only won by double-digits once all season, and it was all the way back in Week 8.

A backdoor cover is definitely in the cards, and there’s also potential that the Eagles fail to ever completely pull away from the Raiders, given Philly's struggles on offense.

Early Raiders vs Eagles total pick: Under 38.5

-110 at FanDuel

The Raiders are the lowest-scoring team in the league with just 15.1 points per game, and as highlighted, both teams have been offensive dumpster fires the past three weeks.

Philly has been better on defense with a 12th-ranked defensive DVOA during the highlighted stretch, and the Eagles have also surrendered the ninth-fewest points per game (20.8) and 10th-lowest EPA per play for the year.

Of course, Raiders quarterback Geno Smith is struggling behind center with the sixth-lowest EPA+CPOE composite while throwing for just 6.7 yards per attempt, too. Smith has also dipped to 6.1 yards per attempt with just five touchdown passes across his past five games.

Finally, with Vegas travelling east for an early afternoon game at hostile Lincoln Financial Field, I’m not anticipating Smith flipping the switch against the capable Philly defense.
