Expert NFL moneyline picks for Preseason Week 3

Steelers vs. Panthers: Steelers (-230)

Most reports indicate that Aaron Rodgers will get some playing time in this contest, and that's enough for me to back the Pittsburgh Steelers. They've looked just OK through two preseason games, but that's more than can be said for the Carolina Panthers, who are winless through two games, while being outscored 50-13.

Patriots vs. Giants: Giants (-280)

A pair of 2-0 teams square off in the preseason finale, and I'll take the New York Giants here based on how the offense has looked behind Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston. With the New England Patriots' QB depth a bit of a mixed bag, they should look to get in and out of MetLife unscathed.

Eagles vs. Jets: Jets (-125)

It doesn't really matter who wins this game, but I believe the New York Jets need this game more to build some momentum heading into Week 1 of the regular season. They have been counted out by just about everyone, so the chip on their shoulder should be big enough to prove some people wrong.

Falcons vs. Cowboys: Cowboys (-150)

It's time for Joe Milton to reward the Dallas Cowboys brass with a good showing. He's been poor so far this preseason, but with plenty of intrigue surrounding the WR position, the Cowboys need Milton to produce. I'll bank on a big game from Milton here.

Vikings vs. Titans: Titans (-200)

After J.J. McCarthy, there's not much to like about the QB room for the Minnesota Vikings. Sam Howell has struggled in preseason, and that's enough for me to back the Tennessee Titans as they look to build some momentum and chemistry ahead of Week 1.

Bears vs. Chiefs: Chiefs (-130)

The Kansas City Chiefs have yet to win a game, but I like them to do so on Friday night. The Chicago Bears dominated the Bills 38-0 in Week 2, but they should want to get in and out of Arrowhead without any injuries or issues.

Ravens vs. Commanders: Ravens (-150)

Have we not learned our lesson yet about fading the Baltimore Ravens in preseason? They are 2-0 SU and ATS and staring at yet another perfect preseason run.

Broncos vs. Saints: Saints (+195)

The Denver Broncos have looked solid in the preseason, outscoring their opponents 57-16. However, there's still a QB spot to be won for the New Orleans Saints, so the motivation for them to play well trumps all in this game.

Texans vs. Lions: Texans (+110)

This is the Detroit Lions' fourth preseason game. That's a lot for a team that has Super Bowl or bust expectations. I expect them to go through the motions here, and the Houston Texans to win this game.

Colts vs. Bengals: Bengals (-125)

Daniel Jones? No thanks. I'll take anyone but him to win a football game.

Rams vs. Browns: Browns (-340)

The Cleveland Browns named Joe Flacco as their starter. Good for them. The Los Angeles Rams are still awaiting Matthew Stafford's injury update. That's bad news. Either way, the Browns win this one at home.

Seahawks vs. Packers: Seahawks (+110)

The Green Bay Packers' injury issues are piling up, and in the final preseason game, I say they keep it vanilla and avoid doing any more damage. Give me the Seattle Seahawks on the road as a short underdog.

Jaguars vs. Dolphins: Jaguars (+150)

Both of these teams will likely be afterthoughts in the NFL regular season, so I'll opt for the underdog in this spot.

Bills vs. Buccaneers: Buccaneers (+130)

The Buffalo Bills are 0-2, and the defense has been atrocious. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are deep enough to piece together four quarters and come up with the win on home soil.

Chargers vs 49ers: 49ers (+105)

Much like the Lions, this is the Los Angeles Chargers' fourth preseason game. That's a bit much. Give me the Niners at home at plus money.

Raiders vs. Cardinals: Cardinals (+155)

I'm big on the Arizona Cardinals this year. The Las Vegas Raiders are winless so far,  which is all you need to know about why I'm taking the birds.
