Micah Parsons best bet: Parsons to record a sack (-144 at FanDuel)
When the Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Packers in August for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark, it was met with huge controversy. Cowboys fans turned on Jerry Jones, while neutrals circled this Week Four meeting between the teams as a game to watch.
Now we get to see the edge rusher facing off against his former team in the stadium that he called home for four seasons.
Parsons is a truly elite and one of, if not the best, pass rushers in the game. He’s been a Pro-Bowler every year since being drafted 12th overall back in 2021, and now he faces the team that selected him. It’s going to be personal for Parsons, who feels disrespected by the Cowboys organization and Jones, so expect him to be hungry and ready for war.
The Cowboys are allowing Dak Prescott to be sacked multiple times per game, with the quarterback being sacked five times in three games. Through 66 games in the NFL, he’s put up some insane numbers, with 261 tackles, but crucially 54 sacks, only marginally lower than an average of one per game.
Since arriving at Lambeau, he’s had 1.5 sacks, and given how motivated he’ll be on Sunday Night Football, it’s time to expect another sack.
Micah Parsons same-game parlay
In addition to our best bet, we’re going to back the Packers to cover the spread against the Cowboys. The Packers are 2-1 against the spread this season but 2-0 in conference games, while the Cowboys have failed to cover in their only home game. The Packers are the better team, and they should be able to cover here.
The final leg is for Matthew Golden to score a touchdown. He’s yet to find the endzone, but it’s coming. Last week, Golden had more targets and receptions than the previous two weeks, as well as three carries, with the team looking to get the ball in his hands.
