There's big trouble in "Big D," and Micah Parsons is at the center of it.

The Dallas Cowboys' All-Pro linebacker requested a trade on Friday, August 1, as tensions with the team that have been brewing all summer came to a head.

Parsons is entering the final year of his current five-year contract, but he apparently has no desire to play another minute with the team that drafted him in 2021.

Where will he suit up next? Let's take a look at Micah Parsons' next team odds.

Micah Parsons next team favorites

It's been a long time since the Las Vegas Raiders were in the Super Bowl conversation, and that still seems like a long shot this year, but there is some reason for optimism.

They have a new head coach in the legendary Pete Carroll, who is reunited with quarterback Geno Smith, the latter representing a huge upgrade in that department from a year ago.

The all-world Maxx Crosby could use a teammate like Micah Parsons to take the pressure off him and instead apply it to opposing quarterbacks.

Las Vegas has oodles of cap space — $37.8 million this year, $99.2 million next year, and $175.9 million in 2027-28 — making a contract that will satisfy Parsons possible.

The Raiders are also rich when it comes to draft capital, so if the Cowboys demand a Khalil Mack-type haul, Las Vegas can pull it off.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn would love to add another weapon like Parsons to his defensive arsenal.

The Jets recently locked up Sauce Gardner at CB and have Will McDonald and Quinnen Williams making life miserable for opposing passers, but the linebacker corps is not a source of strength for Gang Green.

New York's cap space will grow from $29.6 million now to $51.9 million next year and $130.5 million the year after that.

The Jets also own their first-round and second-round draft selections for each of the next two years.

The Micah Parsons situation at a glance

Micah Parsons is currently in the last year of a five-year contract, entitling him to over $24 million.

However, he has been seeking an extension prior to the start of the season.

Per The Athletic's Diana Russini, Micah Parsons spoke directly to Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones in the spring about his contract.

The talks caused Jones to believe that a deal was in place, but Parsons reportedly did not consider those conversations to be formal negotiations.

Dallas has since refused to engage with Parsons' agent in contract talks.

The Cowboys currently do not intend to trade Parsons

As Parsons alluded to in his announcement of his trade request, Jones has publicly criticized the Penn State product, further inflaming the situation.

"[If] we sign him, doesn’t mean we’re going to have him." Jones said in a press conference last month. "He was hurt six games last year, seriously."

Jones misremembered that Parsons only missed four games last season.
