The Detroit Lions will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss vs. the Vikings as they head on the road to take on the Washington Commanders in Week 10. Kickoff from Northwest Stadium is at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

Jahmyr Gibbs has been struggling at times lately, but my Lions vs. Commanders predictions are eying him to break out against a leaky Washington defense.

Lions vs Commanders prediction

Lions vs Commanders Best bet: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 70.5 rushing yards (-114)

Jahmyr Gibbs is the main man in the Detroit Lions’ backfield, rushing for 551 yards on 113 carries this season. He’s also found the end zone six times. The Alabama product had a brutal Week 9, only rushing for 25 yards in a surprise loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

But, in Detroit’s game before that, Gibbs comfortably cashed the Over, rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Although he’s only hit the Over twice in 2025, he’s finished just below 70 rushing yards in several other contests.

Most notably, the Washington Commanders aren’t good against the run, ranking 22nd in the NFL. Gibbs will be motivated to respond to a horrendous performance, and this game presents a clear opportunity for him to cook.

Lions vs Commanders same-game parlay

Deebo Samuel has been a key factor in Washington’s success this year, but he’s in a serious rut at the moment. He’s cashed the Under in receiving yards in three straight, posting just 41 receiving yards in a loss to the Seahawks last weekend.

Samuel also had just 26 yards receiving combined between his two games before the defeat to Seattle. Detroit’s pass defense is also relatively solid, ranking 12th in the league. They will keep Deebo quiet again.

Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the top WRs in the league, and he continues to show that on a weekly basis. St. Brown has 59 receptions for 635 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s cashed the Over in receiving yards in back-to-back appearances.

Despite the loss to the Vikings, St. Brown balled out. He had nine catches for 97 yards. In Week 7 before Detroit’s bye, he also reeled in six catches for 86 yards.

The Commanders’ pass defense is even worse than their run defense, ranking 29th in the NFL. St. Brown should flourish.

Lions vs Commanders SGP

  • Jahmyr Gibbs Over 70.5 rushing yards
  • Deebo Samuel Under 56.5 receiving yards
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 79.5 receiving yards

Our big-ticket SGP: Goff leads the way to wealth

We’ll also look to Jared Goff to spread the ball around and attack through the air, making the Over on his passing yards prop an appealing play especially against a Commanders team that just can't figure out how to stop opponents.

Lions vs Commanders SGP

  • Jahmyr Gibbs Over 70.5 rushing yards
  • Deebo Samuel Under 56.5 receiving yards
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 79.5 receiving yards
  • Jared Goff Over 247.5 passing yards

Lions vs Commanders odds

  • Spread: Detroit -7.5 (-115) | Washington +7.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline: Detroit -460 | Washington +360
  • Over/Under: Over 48.5 (-118) | Under 48.5 (-104)

Lions vs Commanders game predictions

Lions vs Commanders moneyline prediction

The Lions are still a Super Bowl contender, despite the letdown in Week 9. This team is incredibly resilient, and Washington isn’t the same team that beat Detroit in the playoff last season.

They also don’t have starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is hurt. There isn’t much value with the Lions at -490 on the moneyline, but they shouldn’t have any issues winning this matchup.

Lions vs Commanders spread prediction

Detroit is an 8.5-point favorite for this Week 10 clash, and they’ve comfortably covered the spread in their last three victories.

The Lions are 5-3 ATS in 2025, and again, the Commanders are missing the engine of their offense. Detroit will cover on the road.

Lions vs Commanders Over/Under prediction

The playoff matchup in January was obviously a shootout, with Washington prevailing 45-31. But, i could honestly see this being a bit of a blowout in favor of the Lions.

The total is set at 48.5 points, and the Under has cashed in two of Detroit’s last three. The Commanders aren’t scoring a lot, and the team has lost four straight.
