The Seahawks clamp down on the Colts offense, winning decisively in a game that will struggle to approach the total.

The 8-5 Indianapolis Colts continued their free fall with a third consecutive loss, and have lost Daniel Jones ahead of traveling across the country to take on the 10-3 Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, December 14.

My early Colts vs. Seahawks predictions and NFL picks expect the Colts offense to have major problems with Riley Leonard at the helm.

Early Colts vs Seahawks spread pick: Seahawks -11.5

The Indianapolis Colts have lost Daniel Jones for the season after he suffered an Achilles injury on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is terrible news for a team that was already struggling, losing four of their last five games.

Since Anthony Richardson is still not ready to play football after breaking his face with a workout band before a game this season, it will be up to rookie Riley Leonard to carry the offense. That is not great for the Colts, who also have several injuries on defense and need to score to keep up with opponents.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks have won three straight and seven of their last eight. The lone loss was by two points on the road to the Los Angeles Rams, which may be the best team in the NFL. They won those seven games by an average margin of 17.4 points.

The Seahawks defense has been deadly, shutting out Minnesota and holding Atlanta to nine points. They are great at pressuring opposing quarterbacks, and that will be a major problem for the rookie quarterback getting his first career start.

Early Colts vs Seahawks total pick: Under 42.5

The Seahawks typically play some very high-scoring games because of their explosive offense, and if this game had been played three weeks ago, I would have made the Over my best bet of the week at almost any number. But things have changed drastically, with both the Seattle defense and the Indy offense.

The Under has hit in three of the last five Colts games. The Seahawks have allowed just nine points over their last two games, and they haven’t allowed a touchdown in eight quarters. This will be tough sledding for Leonard and the Colts to put points on the board.

The wind could also be a big factor, which will help keep both teams off the scoreboard.

As of Monday morning, the forecast is calling for rain and heavy winds. This isn’t the only reason to take the Under, but it certainly helps.

The Under has gotten 50% of the money despite only 43% of the bets since opening. As good as the Seahawks offense has been, they do struggle to run the ball, and there could be several times where they are forced to punt.
