We lay out our best bets in our Buccaneers vs. Texans predictions and NFL picks for this showdown from Houston's NRG Stadium on September 15.

Buccaneers vs Texans predictions for Monday Night Football

Buccaneers vs Texans MNF best bets

Bucs Buccaneers +2.5

-110 at bet365

Josh Inglis is not ready to back the Houston Texans after an uninspiring Week 1 effort coupled with injuries.

"We saw in Week 1 that Tampa Bay’s offense can flip the switch quickly, and Houston isn’t built to win by a margin with another performance like last week. The Bucs’ offensive line injuries are a concern, but their skill-position depth helps offset that. Houston, possibly down its starting center, could struggle again offensively."

Under 42.5

-110 at bet365

Inglis is following the money and leaning Under on MNF.

"I love indoor Overs as much as anyone—but with injuries on both offensive lines and likely penalties or busted plays, I’m leaning Under 42.5. The total opened at 46.5 on the lookahead, re-opened at 44.5 on Sunday, and hit 42.5 by Monday night."

Bucs Mike Evans

+155 at bet365

Ryan Gilbert explains why Mike Evans is the better bet to find the end zone for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers than rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka.

"Evans led the team with eight targets last week, but it was rookie Emeka Egbuka who brought in two touchdown catches in the win in Atlanta. But with Chris Godwin still rehabbing his injury, Evans will once again be the focal point of the Bucs’ offense on Monday night. Evans had 11 touchdowns in just 14 games last season, and the Houston Texans’ secondary is susceptible to top wide receivers."

Buccaneers vs Texans MNF props

Texans C.J. Stroud Over 10.5 rushing yards

-110 at bet365

Jeremy Jones believes C.J. Stroud will be on the run tonight.

"Last week, the Bucs generated 20 pressures on 46 drop-backs. Five defenders generated multiple pressures, led by Haason Reddick with seven, including three that came in under 2.5 seconds. They will apply pressure to Stroud and force him to scramble."
