Jalon Daniels will get another chance to lead Tampa Bay to its first win of the season on Thursday Night Football, though our Buccaneers vs. Cowboys AI picks expect CeeDee Lamb to steal the spotlight for the second straight week when these teams meet tonight at 8:15 pm ET (Prime Video) from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Our AI model projects a 28-21 Cowboys victory as part of our NFL AI predictions for Week 5. Below, we break down the case for Buccaneers +7.5 and Over 47.5, along with our best anytime touchdown pick using the latest odds from the best prediction market apps.

Tampa Bay can use Jalon Daniels’ mobility to keep Dallas from attacking a stationary pocket. The rookie ran for 55 yards in his first start, but two interceptions and late protection breakdowns undermined the comeback against Green Bay. Moving the pocket and giving him quick outlets would help him avoid those long, vulnerable dropbacks. Dallas has generated just four sacks without an interception through four games, so Daniels has a chance to settle in if Tampa Bay keeps the reads manageable. His legs give the Bucs another way to extend possessions and stay within a touchdown.

Keeping pace with Dak Prescott is the harder assignment. Tampa Bay has ruled out Antoine Winfield Jr., Benjamin Morrison, and SirVocea Dennis, leaving less room for mistakes against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Dallas’ ability to score — and its trouble getting stops — also drives the Over in Joe Osborne’s Buccaneers vs. Cowboys prediction, although he favors Dallas to cover. We expect the Cowboys to win, but a 28-21 finish leaves Tampa Bay inside +7.5 and takes the game above 47.5. The Bucs need Daniels to take the easy completion or open running lane before pressure turns a promising drive into another giveaway.

CeeDee Lamb is the toughest assignment for a depleted Tampa Bay secondary. He caught 17 passes for 189 yards and the winning touchdown against Houston, and he leads the NFL with 37 catches and 498 receiving yards through four games. The Bucs now face that workload without Morrison at cornerback or Winfield at safety. Lamb practiced fully all week despite a thigh issue and carries no game designation.

Sending extra coverage toward Lamb would leave fewer defenders available for Pickens and Jake Ferguson, giving Prescott options if Tampa Bay tries to take away his favorite receiver. Javonte Williams remains a threat to finish drives on the ground after scoring three times Sunday, so a productive night from Lamb does not automatically mean a touchdown. Still, our 28-point Dallas projection gives him multiple scoring opportunities, and his established role makes him our choice to reach the end zone at 49% on Kalshi.

How our NFL AI predictions work

Our NFL AI predictions use a custom forecasting model built with GPT-6 Astra to project a final score for each matchup using historical scoring results, team-strength ratings, game conditions, matchup details, and other relevant context for predicting the final score.

The score forecasts are fixed before we compare them with the selected Kalshi spread and total to produce our ATS and Over/Under picks. Kalshi percentages are market quotes, separate from the score forecasts. We track results against the original selections and lines at time of publish.

We’ll continue updating the process as the season develops and publicly track every published score prediction, ATS pick, and Over/Under selection.

Odds and market lines are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
