The Denver Broncos return to Mile High Stadium after an unsuccessful two-game road swing to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.
Cincinnati is trying to figure out life without Joe Burrow, and my Bengals vs. Broncos predictions expect backup Jake Browning to struggle.
Read on for my NFL player props for Monday, September 29.
Bengals vs Broncos MNF props
Player | Pick | |
---|---|---|
Under 219.5 passing yards | -114 | |
Under 51.5 receiving yards | -114 | |
Anytime touchdown | +130 |
Jake Browning Under 219.5 passing yards
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning is in a tough spot on Monday night, and I’m not a big believer in him or his offensive line against this Denver Broncos defense.
Browning’s last complete game under center was a 140-yard disaster against Jacksonville. He was under constant pressure, sacked thrice, and was forced into check-downs and short routes.
Denver’s defense has already registered a dozen sacks. The constant pressure is why the Broncos have only allowed 11 completions of 20+ yards, and why Browning will struggle.
Tee Higgins Under 51.5 receiving yards
Tee Higgins enters this game with limited upside under Browning, and I don’t see him being successful against Denver.
In Week 3, Higgins caught just one pass for 15 yards, with the Bengals relying primarily on check-downs to move the chains.
The Broncos’ defense has been stingy against big plays, allowing only three completions of 40+ yards this season, which further caps Higgins’ potential.
Cincinnati’s top wideout, Ja’Marr Chase, should see the bulk of the targets, while running backs and tight ends soak up check-downs and quick routes.
Courtland Sutton anytime touchdown
Courtland Sutton is Bo Nix’s main target, and the lanky wideout should haul in a scoring strike against the Bengals’ struggling defense.
Cincinnati has already allowed six passing touchdowns this season and hasn’t faced a receiver with Sutton’s size, speed, and red-zone prowess.
Sutton leads the Broncos in both receiving yards and touchdowns, making him the focal point of Denver’s passing attack.
He also tops the team in red-zone targets while averaging 14.2 yards per reception, showing his ability to make plays downfield and inside the 20-yard line.
Sutton has found the end zone twice already this season, and I expect him to find his way in there again on Monday Night Football.
