Thursday Night Football is back, and you know what that means: it's the time of the week the NFL shovels two dogshit teams onto Prime, knowing us fans will take whatever we can get after two whole days of NOTHING.
This week's installment pits the Minnesota Vikings — led by Carson Wentz (lol) — against the Los Angeles Chargers, who put the mid in, uh, MID. Coaching is hard when you can't cheat, isn't it, Jimmy??
Despite the snooze fest in front of us, my Vikings vs. Chargers anytime touchdown picks attempt to amp up your excitement for this October 23 clash.
Vikings anytime touchdown pick
Jordan Mason (-110 at bet365)
It's not every day you see a -110 price tag on a running back to score a TD after doing so in back-to-back games, but here we are!
My only worry here is the potential return of Aaron Jones stealing some of Jordan Mason's goal-line carries, but at this price, it's a risk I'm willing to take.
Mason's 84 carries are more than the rest of the team combined, and the Minnesota Vikings will let him go to work against a Chargers team that Jonathan Taylor scored a hat trick against.
Only the Titans have given up more rushing TDs than the Bolts' 10, with just the putrid Raiders failing to find paydirt on the ground. The fewer times Carson Wentz has to throw, the better, and the Vikings know that.
With the amount of work Mason should get here, he should be able to score his fifth TD of the season.

Chargers anytime touchdown pick
Quentin Johnston (+150 at bet365)
Do you know how bad you have to be to let Jalen Hurts have a perfect passer rating against you?
DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown torched the Vikes' secondary in Week 7, as each eclipsed 100+ yards. They both had a monster reception downfield — with Smith's 79-yard catch taking the cake.
Minnesota's run defense remained stout, holding Saquon Barkley to 2.3 yards per carry. It also left Jalen Hurts with -10 rushing yards. Down its top RBs, the Los Angeles Chargers' best plan of attack is through the air, and I expect them to put Justin Herbert's cannon of an arm to use.
The biggest beneficiary of those long balls will be Quentin Johnston, who returned from injury last week to score his fifth tuddy of the season.
Keenan Allen leads the team in targets, but Johnston's big-play ability allows him to score at any moment. He only had two receptions last game, but it only takes one to find the end zone.
The Chargers' WR3 averages a team-high 14.3 yards per catch, and Johnston should find himself open deep at some point to cash this ticket.
