A pair of teams looking to bounce back from disappointing 0-2 starts collide as the New York Giants host the Kansas City Chiefs in this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football.
I expect Patrick Mahomes to take charge of KC’s offense once again, while New York wide receiver Malik Nabers is also featured in my Chiefs vs. Giants anytime touchdown picks for September 21.

Patrick Mahomes (+400 at FanDuel)
To say that the Kansas City Chiefs' offense has been disappointing so far would be an understatement.
KC has scored just four touchdowns in two games, ranking 17th in rushing yards (109.5) and 16th in passing yards per game (211).
With Xavier Worthy (shoulder) still ruled out, Patrick Mahomes’ rushing options have been limited to Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco — a pair of running backs who have yet to really get going this season.
Both guys are averaging less than four yards per carry, and that’s led Mahomes to call his own number more often than not. That’s worked out for Mahomes so far as the Chiefs QB has rushed for 61.5 yards per game and scored a touchdown in both of KC’s losses.
The New York Giants own the worst rushing defense in the NFL this year (177.5 yards per game), so I suspect we’ll see Mahomes find paydirt again in Week 3.

Giants anytime touchdown pick
Malik Nabers (+125 at FanDuel)
If there’s one thing to like about the Giants' season so far, it’s the performance of sophomore Malik Nabers.
The wide receiver scored two TDs in New York’s season-opening overtime thriller against the Cowboys and has emerged as Russell Wilson’s favored passing option.
Nabers leads the Giants in receiving yards per game (119), targets (25), receptions (14), and first downs (10). In fact, his 238 yards rank first among all receivers in the NFL.
The Chiefs gave up three passing TDs in their Week 1 loss to the Chargers, so expect Wilson and Nabers to connect for at least one touchdown against a suspect KC secondary.
