Washington heads into 2026 priced right back at 7.5 wins, the same number it just cleared with an 8-4 season. See the Huskies' full win total odds history since 2008, expert predictions, and how oddsmakers are pricing the number this time around.

The Washington Huskies are on a real heater for win total Over bettors, but their 2026 number will likely force those same people into a difficult decision.

Washington went 8-4 overall in 2025, its second season in the Big Ten, surpassing its 7.5-win total and giving the program back-to-back seasons of eight or more wins after a difficult 2024. The market has responded by offering the same number the Huskies just cleared, though the Over is now priced as a significant favorite.

Here's a look at the recent history of Washington win totals, along with predictions on whether the Huskies will surpass or fall short of their 2026 number of 7.5:

Quarterback Demond Williams entering the transfer portal in the off-season only to stay gives me some trepidation on the locker room. However, Washington could be favored in nine of its first 10 games.

Though Jedd Fisch and Demond Williams Jr. seemed to be looking for new programs in the offseason, both are back and poised to win 8+ regular season games again this year.

Williams is among the most dynamic QBs in the country and is the only returning Power 4 QB who threw for 3,000+ yards and rushed for 600+ yards last season. He leads an offense that ranks No. 13 in returning production (65%) and brings back four starters on the offensive line. Fisch also landed Christian Moss (Kennesaw State) and Jayden Limar (Oregon) in the portal to help replace Denzel Boston and Jonah Coleman.

The defense was among the most underrated in the country last season, and coordinator Ryan Walter should once again have it cooking with Alex McClaughlin and Jacob Lane back, Jacob Manu healthy, and the addition of Emmanuel Karnley (Virginia).

Colby Marchio

Based on the Huskies' schedule, their entire season could come down to the final two games. Sure, they travel to USC in early October, but their closing stretch features Indiana at home and a trip to Eugene. The crazy part is, they could lose all three of those games and still find a way to win nine games.

They bring back Demond Williams Jr., who will be protected by a veteran offensive line. Defensively, Washington should be very solid after returning 10 players with starting experience.

I think this Huskies team is going to be one of the more fun teams to watch in college football in 2026.

🔑 Key takeaways

  • A clear Under lean overall: Washington has gone Under its win total seven times in 13 graded seasons, against five Overs and one push, a consistent lean that has held across different coaching staffs and eras.

  • Big swings in both directions: Washington's results are rarely close to the number. Three of the five Overs came by two or more wins, while three of the seven Unders missed by two or more. This is a program that tends to beat expectations by a wide margin or fall well short.

  • Strong recent Over trend: Washington has cleared its win total in three of the last four graded seasons. The 2022 and 2023 seasons represent the only back-to-back Overs in this dataset, while the current four-year stretch represents the strongest sustained run of Over results in the program's history.

How Washington win totals are priced

Looking for a repeat of the Huskies' eight-win 2025? You won't make nearly as much profit this time around.

With the O7.5 priced at a whopping -170 (carrying an implied probability of nearly 63%), the expectation from oddsmakers is that Washington should thrive in the regular season. If you're feeling a little more ambitious, you can get the O8.5 on the Huskies at +144.

Whatever Over total you settle on, you had better hope Washington clears it with two games to spare. The Huskies, having apparently upset someone at the scheduling office, will wind up its season with games against defending champion Indiana and powerhouse Oregon; Washington fell 26-14 to the Ducks to close out the 2025 campaign.

The Huskies' Big Ten win total is set at 5.5, with the Over at +134 and the Under at -170. They went 5-4 in conference play last year.

Did You Know?

Washington's 2008 season produced the largest win total miss of any program in this entire series. Set at six wins, the Huskies finished 0-12.
