Friday night sees an important Big 12 clash when the Utah Utes travel to face the Kansas Jayhawks.
The Utes still have a chance to reach the conference championship, but must first beat a Jayhawks squad looking to get a sixth win and achieve bowl eligibility.

Utah vs Kansas best bet: Wayshawn Parker Over 99.5 rushing yards (-114)
It’s shocking how often the Kansas Jayhawks give up explosive runs to opposing backs. They’ve allowed 59 runs of 10+ yards this season against Power Four opponents, the second-most nationally behind Colorado. And 11 of those runs have gone for 30+ yards, third-most in college football.
Wayshawn Parker must be giddy at the thought of carving them up like butter. The running back for the Utah Utes has topped the century mark in each of his last four games, and it’s no coincidence he’s gotten 15+ carries in the last three games after topping 10 rush attempts just once in the first eight outings.
According to PFF, Parker has an obscene breakaway yard rate of 48.6% on the season. He’s also had 10 runs of double-digit yards over the last four contests, having forced 23 missed tackles in that span.
The Jayhawks rank 107th in EPA/rush, 106th in available yards allowed, and 96th in yards allowed after contact. Parker has averaged nearly 8.0 yards a carry in his last four games, and the home-run threat he possesses makes this a number he should reach pretty easily.
In addition to our best bet, I'll be laddering his yardage total up to 175 yards. Cameron Dickey ran for 263 yards for Texas Tech against the Jayhawks, and I won’t be surprised at all if Parker breaks off two or three massive chunk runs.

Utah vs Kansas same-game parlay
It won’t just be Parker who thrives against this porous Kansas rush defense. Devon Dampier has topped 60 rushing yards in four of his last five games, despite being sacked multiple times in three of those contests.
The Jayhawks rank 130th in EPA on designed QB runs. Dampier has double-digit carries in eight of 10 games this season and is averaging 5.5 yards a pop, making this a very low floor.
Kansas needs to win to become bowl eligible, but the Utes aren’t going to let that happen. Utah will get after Jalon Daniels, ranking fourth in pressure rate on the season.
Combine that with the inability of Kansas’ defense to deny points on quality drives, and this one will get away from the home team as they lose by at least two touchdowns. The Jayhawks have covered just once in five conference games against strong offensive teams, and that trend will continue.

This might be the first time I’ve ever bet on two quarterbacks from the same team to score in the same game, but if anybody will do so, it’s this Utah team.
The Utes have been incorporating backup quarterback Byrd Ficklin into the rushing attack more over the past few games, with quite a bit of success.
And the last three games have seen him rush for 234 yards on only 17 carries, but six of those runs have ended in the endzone, and that’s why I like him to score on another red-zone carry.
Dampier’s ability to break big runs against this defense will make it likely he finds paydirt as well. He ran for two scores last week against Kansas State and should get chances to get another in this game.
