Texas A&M vs Missouri predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Texas A&M vs Missouri spread pick: Missouri +7.5

The Texas A&M Aggies are undefeated this season and have proven themselves in tough road games this season, including winning at Notre Dame and at LSU at night. Now they are going to have to take one more tough road test before a couple of much easier home games.

The Missouri Tigers are coming off a close loss on the road to Vanderbilt and have lost two of their past three games. However, their other loss was also against a Top 10 team at home against Alabama. Their two losses were by a combined 10 points.

Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula has struggled recently after a hot start to the season, but this is a decent spot for him to get back on track against an Aggies defense that allowed Taylen Green to throw for 256 yards and three touchdowns a few weeks ago.

This is likely to be a high-scoring game, and Missouri has the talent to keep up and score with the Aggies. I do like Texas A&M to win this game, but the spread is too high on the road against a team that just does not get blown out.

Early Texas A&M vs Missouri total pick: Over 49.5

These are two of the better offenses in the country in terms of scoring. The Aggies rank 11th in the nation averaging 37.8 points per game. The Tigers rank 26th averaging 35.4 per contest.

The Tigers have a very good defense and only allow 16.8 points per game, but they have allowed 31 points to the Kansas Jayhawks and 27 points to the Alabama Crimson Tide this season, and both of those games were at home.

The Aggies have only been held below 31 points once this season, and that was an ugly 17-10 game against Auburn, who has dragged very game they've played this year into the mud. The Tigers have played a good mix of shootouts and low-scoring games, and this tilt is perfectly designed to be one of their shootouts.

Texas A&M has hit the Over in eight of their last 12 overall, and Missouri has hit the Over in six of their last nine at home. This one should be exciting with lots of points, and a surprisingly low total needed to hit.
