Michigan vs Maryland Prediction, Picks & Odds for November 22 — College Football Week 13

Their record may not reflect it, but Maryland consistently keeps games competitive, even if it hasn’t translated into wins and they should bring that same fight against Michigan.

Two Big Ten teams going in complete opposite directions this season will meet up on Saturday afternoon when the 18th-ranked Michigan Wolverines travel to College Park to take on the 4-6 Maryland Terrapins.

The Wolverines have won four straight games and the Terps have lost six straight, with only one of those six against ranked teams.

Find out who I like in my Michigan vs. Maryland predictions and college football picks for Saturday, November 22.

Michigan vs Maryland prediction

Michigan vs Maryland best bet: Maryland +13.5 (-105)

After starting 4-0, the Maryland Terrapins have now lost six consecutive games to Big Ten teams. However, despite losing six straight games, they were competitive in all but two of them. They only lost by four to Washington and three to both Nebraska and UCLA.

Meanwhile, the Michigan Wolverines have won four straight games, but they have not been pretty at all. Their last two wins were over just as bad if not worse teams than Maryland and they won those two games by a combined seven points.

The Terps have a bad offense, and the Wolverines have a good defense, but Michigan allowed 16 points to Purdue and 22 points to Northwestern, who both average less points per game than Maryland does. It will be unlikely the Terps will be able to move the ball on the ground, but they can get the passing game going.

The Wolverines rank 48th in passing defense allowing 201.8 yards per game. Maryland’s one strength on offense is dual threat quarterback Malik Washington. While I don’t expect him to light it up, he will be able to do enough to keep this game within two scores and help cover the spread.

Michigan vs Maryland same-game parlay

To add to my best bet, I am going to take the Under with Michigan not able to light up the scoreboard and depending on the run game to move the ball. Also adding Washington to hit his passing total with them likely playing from behind against a mediocre pass defense.

Michigan vs Maryland SGP

  • Maryland +13.5
  • Under 45.5
  • Malik Washington Over 210.5 passing yards

Our deep-ball SGP: Dual Threat

We mentioned the dual threat ability of Washington, but Bryce Underwood is just as much and has five rushing touchdowns this season and will be facing a terrible run defense on Saturday.

  • Under 45.5
  • Malik Washington Over 210.5 passing yards
