The Kennesaw State Owls aim for their fifth consecutive victory as they take on the Florida International Panthers in Conference USA action Tuesday night.

Despite evening their record at 3-3 with a recent win, FIU enters as a 2.5-point home underdog in the college football odds.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International prediction

Kennesaw State vs Florida International best bet: Kennesaw State -2.5 (-122)

Since seeing how the upper crust of the FBS lives, getting crushed by then-No. 23 Indiana, the Kennesaw State Owls have not lost in a four-game span.

They’ve won every game by at least seven points, including last time out, scoring a season high in a 35-7 drubbing of Louisiana Tech.

The Owls are second in Conference USA in points allowed, at 20.5 per contest. They have allowed the second-fewest pass TDs on the year and the third-fewest rushing scores, too. That’s good enough to float an offense that’s scoring 22 points per game.

It hasn’t been as successful a transition for the Florida International Panthers since getting blown out by then-No. 2 Penn State, as they’ve gone 2-2 over their last four.

A 25-6 win over Western Kentucky provided their season-low in points allowed, as they had surrendered an average of 37.8 points across the previous four games.

The Panthers rank right behind the Owls in scoring, but they are allowing 27.7 points per contest.

The Owls have allowed just one team to score more than 17 points in the last four games, and their defense should do the job against a shaky FIU offense.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International same-game parlay

Owls running back Coleman Bennett has been running well over his last two games, topping 70+ yards in both.

Even though he’s going up against the Panthers’ second-ranked defense in the American, Bennett just went for 73 against Louisiana Tech, the No. 1 rush D in the conference.

Kejon Owens has been a beast at running back for the Panthers, averaging a healthy 6.7 yards a carry, and has scored in back-to-back games.

Kennesaw State’s run defense has allowed nine rushing scores this year, so Owens should be able to find paydirt Tuesday.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International SGP

  • Kennesaw State -3.5
  • Coleman Bennett Over 57.5 rush yards
  • Kejon Owens anytime TD

Our deep-ball SGP: Keyed-in Keyone

We’ll wrap with Panthers’ QB Keyone Jenkins, who has a generous passing line of 176.5 yards. That’s a number he’s cruised by in three of his last four outings.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International SGP

  • Kennesaw State -3.5
  • Coleman Bennett Over 57.5 rush yards
  • Kejon Owens anytime TD

Kennesaw State vs Florida International game predictions

Kennesaw State vs Florida International moneyline prediction

Seeing Dexter Williams lead the Owls with a massive 27-for-36 effort for 290 yards and four TD tosses last time out is all we needed to know for Tuesday.

Amari Odom (undisclosed) could be back, but there’s no rushing as Williams seems more than capable of handling the offense. His four TD passes last game matches Odom’s total for the season in the four games he played.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International spread prediction

That Owls passing game should be able to offset the standout play of FIU running back Kejon Owens, who is second in the conference in both rushing yards (658) and rushing scores, with six.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International Over/Under prediction

I'm surprised the total is this high, considering the Owls have cashed the Under in four straight games and have only hit the Over once on the season.

The Panthers have also seen the Under hit four times in six games this season.

Kennesaw State vs Florida International odds

  • Spread: Kennesaw State -2.5 | Florida International +2.5
  • Moneyline: Kennesaw State -138 | Florida International +118
  • Over/Under: Over 48.5 | Under 48.5
