CFB Week 10 preview with Andrew Caley and Douglas Farmer

South Carolina vs Mississippi best bet

Trinidad Chambliss Over 267.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel)

The Gamecocks were oh-so-close to upsetting Alabama last week. However, after that disappointment, the Gamecocks should come back down to Earth and are set up for a letdown. That doesn’t bode well against this explosive Rebels offense... nor does the fact that South Carolina ranks 117th in the country in defensive success rate on dropbacks.

See our full analysis and Gamecocks/Rebels SGP in our South Carolina vs. Mississippi predictions.

Purdue vs Michigan best bet

Purdue +21.5 (-122 at FanDuel)

Michigan is not going to throw the ball up and down the field, and they're not a team I'm looking to lay a lot of points with.

Oklahoma vs Tennessee best bet

Oklahoma moneyline (+122 at FanDuel)

The Volunteers are now back to being a one-sided SEC imposter. Tennessee’s offense can still produce — No. 12 in expected points added (EPA) per snap — but it falls into disarray against the best competition... and also: Tennessee cannot defend.

See our full analysis and Sooners/Volunteers SGP in our Oklahoma vs. Tennessee predictions.

USC vs Nebraska best bet

King Miller Over 94.5 rush yards (-114 at FanDuel)

Michigan ranks 32nd in success rate against the run and 45th in EPA/rush this season. Notre Dame ranks 41st and 35th, respectively, in those two metrics — and King Miller had successful outings against both of those defenses. He's going to have a field day against the Cornhuskers, who rank 108th in rushing success and 105th in EPA/rush and have already allowed 24 runs of 10+ yards in their five Big Ten games.

See our full analysis and Trojans/Cornhuskers SGP in our USC vs. Nebraska predictions.

Georgia Tech vs NC State best bet

Over 58.5 (-105 at FanDuel)

NC State has been one of the most efficient passing offenses in the country, ranking 18th in EPA per dropback. I think they lean into that for two reasons: First, I suspect they will be trailing; second, this Georgia Tech defense has not been great, particularly at limiting explosive plays. On the other side, Georgia Tech can largely take its pick of what to attack.

See our full analysis and Yellowjackets/Wolfpack SGP in our Georgia Tech vs. NC State predictions.

Kentucky vs Auburn best bet

Auburn -10.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Kentucky’s offense does nothing well. The nicest thing that can be said about it is that it runs for a few yards at a time at a modest rate. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, Auburn’s defense ranks No. 3 in the country in rushing success rate against.
