We’re deep into the season and the College Football Playoff picture is beginning to come into focus, yet there’s still plenty of value out there for bettors looking to make TD scorer picks for Week 11
I’ve found a handful of players who are scoring regularly yet still have generous odds for bettors, including Jordan Davison of the Oregon Ducks and Isaiah Horton of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Let’s take a closer look at the top touchdown scorer props for this weekend’s slate in my free college football picks for Saturday, November 8.
College football anytime touchdown picks for Week 11
Caleb Douglas (+135)
Jordan Davison (+120)
Isaiah Horton (+170)
Prop bet #1: Caleb Douglas anytime TD
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have no trouble scoring, putting up 43.6 ppg on the year. They have five different players who have scored at least five times this season, and several more who have multiple touchdowns. That includes leading receiver Caleb Douglas, who has four scores to go along with 41 catches for 594 yards.
Douglas has been an impactful player for Texas Tech in the past, scoring six touchdowns in 2024. But the senior has stepped up his production over the past two games, scoring once against the Oklahoma State Cowboys and twice against the Kansas State Wildcats in two big wins for the Red Raiders.
A game against the BYU Cougars will be a real test for Texas Tech. The Cougars have held opponents to just 6.2 yards per attempt in the passing game, though they haven’t faced anyone with an offense to match the Red Raiders yet.
Still, BYU should keep his one close, which will mean Texas Tech will keep throwing the ball, and Douglas should get plenty of opportunities to add to his recent haul.
Prop bet #2: Jordan Davison anytime TD
In a high-powered Oregon Ducks offense, freshman running back Jordan Davison has arguably been as impressive as anyone. The California native is averaging 6.9 yards per carry and has 10 scores on the year on just 51 total carries.
That number of touches might be of some concern if it weren’t for two factors. For one, Davison is getting the ball more than ever, going over 100 yards in each of his last two games and carrying the ball 16 times against the Wisconsin Badgers in Oregon’s last game. Secondly, we’ve seen Davison score at least once in seven of his first eight games.
That’s an early trend that makes the plus odds on Davison almost hard to believe this weekend. Of course, that’s largely due to the Iowa Hawkeyes defense, which is allowing only 2.6 yards per rush and 13.1 ppg on the season.
But Davison has been able to score from near the goal line in many of these games, and will likely get a few short yardage opportunities to punch the ball in on Saturday.
Prop bet #3: Isaiah Horton anytime TD
This is the second time in three weeks that I’m taking Isaiah Horton as one of my top TD scorer prop picks. He paid off against the Missouri Tigers in Week 9, and I’m looking for him to do it again when the Alabama Crimson Tide faces the LSU Tigers this weekend.
Horton continues to get big catches for the Crimson Tide. He’s caught five touchdowns in his last six games, and oddsmakers are only slowly tightening his odds as the season continues.
In a way, it’s easy to see why. Despite his five touchdowns, Horton has only caught a total of 22 balls in seven games. In fact, last week against the Tennessee Volunteers, Horton was held to just two yards on one catch. Yet that one reception was still for a touchdown.
LSU isn’t particularly tough against the passing game, but matchups almost aren’t even a factor here. It’s clear that Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has come to trust Horton near the end zone, and that’s not likely to change now that every game is getting more important for the Tide.
As long as we keep getting generous odds, I’ll keep backing him to score.
