It’s the unstoppable force versus the immovable object as the UConn Huskies take on the Creighton Bluejays in Big East action tonight.

The Huskies have been living dangerously. Their last four wins have come by single digits, including three in a row that had double-digit spreads.

My UConn vs. Creighton predictions and college basketball picks ultimately expect Creighton to cover on Saturday, January 31.

UConn vs Creighton prediction

UConn vs Creighton best bet: Creighton +7.5 (-110)

The UConn Huskies have been vulnerable in Big East play. Despite a 10-0 Big East record, the Huskies are 3-7 ATS and have failed to cover the last seven games.

They squeaked by last-place Providence in two games, winning on the road in overtime and then by six at home in their most recent matchup. They also trailed Villanova in overtime before rallying to escape with a 2-point win against Georgetown.

While the Huskies are 5–1 against Quad I opponents, they’ve only won four of those five contests by more than five points.

The Creighton Bluejays are a compelling candidate to spring the upset, as they’re 9–2 straight up at home and prevailed 71–62 over the Huskies in last year’s Big East Tournament semifinal.

Averaging more than 10 attempts per game from distance, expect Creighton to keep pace with UConn tonight.

UConn vs Creighton same-game parlay

Neither team wants to run. This will be a good, old-fashioned Big East battle — physical, with points hard to come by. Creighton has played one game with a point total of 110.

While rosters change quickly enough to make historical data misleading, these two teams have met 10 times since March 2021. Nine of those matchups have gone Under, and all nine finished below today’s total.

Creighton's leading scorer, Josh Dix, went 0-for-9 from three in the last game, snapping a streak of 32 straight games making a three-pointer.

Back on his home floor, look for Dix to regress to the mean. He topped 15 points in the three previous games and four out of five.
