The No. 3 UConn Huskies face off against the No. 7 BYU Cougars in the Hall of Fame Series tonight.

Dan Hurley has the Huskies playing terrific ball on both sides of the floor, and my UConn vs. BYU predictions are backing them to pull away for a statement win.

Here are my college basketball picks for this battle between Top-10 teams on Saturday, November 15.

UConn vs BYU prediction

UConn vs BYU best bet: UConn -6.5 (-110)

The UConn Huskies are 3-0 with three blowout victories, but this is their first game against a power conference opponent. The BYU Cougars are also 3-0, with their best win coming in their season opener when they beat Villanova 71-66.

BYU has one of the best trios in the country in No. 1 recruit A.J. Dybantsa (18.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game), point guard Robert Wright III, and shooting guard Richie Saunders, who was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last year.

That said, the Cougars lack interior size, and depth is an issue, especially with Kennard Davis Jr. likely not playing after being arrested on suspicion of DUI. Keba Keita is a high-energy big, but he's just 6-foot-7, and the other bigs in their rotation — Mihailo Boskovic and Khadim Mboup — are mediocre.

Meanwhile, UConn has 6-foot-8 forward Alex Karaban as a Swiss Army knife in the frontcourt with the 6-foot-11, 265-pound Tarris Reed Jr. at center.

Reed is averaging 19.5 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks in just 21 minutes per game. He had been on a minutes restriction while coming back from injury, but coach Dan Hurley says he's ready for a full workload.

Behind Reed, the Huskies have four-star center Eric Reibe, who checks in at 7-foot-1 and has been making an impact off the bench. Add in guards Solo Ball and Silas Demary Jr., and this is a squad that has size, skill, shooting, and experience.

While this game is at a neutral site, it will feel like an away game for the Cougars, who have to travel across the country and will be in front of a pro-UConn crowd in Boston. With the Huskies boasting better depth, more defensive tenacity, and superior size inside, I'll back them to pull away here.

UConn vs BYU same-game parlay

Since I like the Huskies to win, let's also back them to get off to a good start and cover the first-half spread.

The Under has gone a combined 5-1 for these two teams. The Cougars rank 285th nationally in adjusted tempo, while the Huskies sit outside the Top 300 and are capable of slowing opponents down on both ends.

In BYU's only contest against a power conference opponent, we saw a low-scoring game with just 137 points. The Huskies are even better defensively than Villanova, which should lead to this game finishing below the total.
