The Missouri Tigers visit T-Mobile Center for their annual Border War rivalry game with the No. 21 Kansas Jayhawks.

With Jayhawks guard Darryn Peterson set to return to the lineup, my Missouri vs. Kansas predictions expect a comfortable Kansas victory.

Read on as I share my college basketball picks for Sunday, December 7.

Missouri vs Kansas prediction

Missouri vs Kansas best bet: Kansas -6.5 (-105)

The Kansas Jayhawks have revenge on their minds and will get star freshman guard Darryn Peterson just in time for their annual Border War battle with the Missouri Tigers.

Bill Self said Peterson “should” be available, and his 21.5 points per game on 50% shooting from downtown gives Kansas an offensive dimension it sorely missed during his seven-game absence.

Even without Peterson, the Jayhawks posted a Top 10 defensive efficiency mark, and that defense now faces a Missouri Tigers team whose 90-point scoring average is inflated by inferior competition and unlikely to hold up against this Jayhawks’ stop unit.

Kansas also owns a significant size advantage, which should give it an edge on the glass, where Missouri ranks just 14th in the SEC in rebounds per game.

After being buried by Missouri in Columbia last season, you can expect a fully locked-in, revenge-minded Jayhawks squad on a neutral floor in Kansas City.

With the better overall efficiency and Peterson returning, Kansas should cover the spread today.

Missouri vs Kansas same-game parlay

Darryn Peterson’s return means scoring. He gets buckets at all three levels with at least 20 points in both games before his injury.

He’ll get there again today, and that should help send this afternoon's game Over the number. Three of the previous five Border War battles have cleared the game total, and this one will as well.
