The No. 7 Michigan Wolverines face off against the No. 21 Auburn Tigers in the Players Era Festival on Tuesday night. Both schools have been filling up the hoop, and my Michigan vs. Auburn predictions are betting on a shootout tonight.

Here are my best free college basketball picks for this marquee matchup on November 25 from the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Paradise, NV.

Michigan vs Auburn prediction

Michigan vs Auburn best bet: Over 162.5 (-110)

The O/U has been steamed from the opening number of 159.5 to 162.5, but I still like the Over in what should be a fast-paced game between two teams that can get buckets.

The Auburn Tigers beat Oregon 84-73 last night to improve their record to 5-1, scoring 80+ points in five of those outings.

The only exception was against Houston, where they scored a respectable 72 points in an extremely slow-paced game against the best defense in the country.

This should be a much faster contest since the Michigan Wolverines are 32nd in adjusted tempo, and Auburn also likes to push the pace on offense.

Michigan has good ball movement and does an excellent job of getting the ball inside for good looks at the rim. It's 14th in the country in 2-point percentage (62.9%) and put up 94 points against a strong San Diego State defense last night.

Meanwhile, Auburn is in the Top 20 in 2-point percentage and offensive rebounding rate while turning the ball over at the 13th-lowest rate.

These schools have been filling up the hoop despite poor shooting from deep. Given that both teams have capable perimeter shooters, we should see positive regression in that area.

Michigan vs Auburn same-game parlay

While I'm following the line movement on the total, I'm going against the line movement on the spread with Auburn sitting at +4.5 after opening at +3.5.

The Tigers almost upset No. 3 Houston last week, and Michigan's ball-handling issues are concerning against teams like Auburn, who can turn turnovers into quick transition baskets.

Keyshawn Hall has looked like a Player of the Year candidate and is averaging 22.2 points per game. He dropped 20 points against Houston's elite defense and finished with 18 points last night despite a rare poor shooting performance.
