The Toronto Raptors begin a five-game homestand when they welcome the streaking Golden State Warriors to Scotiabank Arena.

Steph Curry has been scoring in bunches for Golden State, but my Warriors vs. Raptors predictions and NBA picks explain why you should fade the Chef on Sunday, December 28.

Warriors vs Raptors prediction

Warriors vs Raptors best bet: Stephen Curry Under 4.5 made threes (+110)

Stephen Curry may have found the fountain of youth. At age 37, he’s averaging 28.7 ppg — his highest scoring rate since 2022-23.

However, I’m not expecting the Golden State Warriors superstar to do damage from long range against a defensively stout Toronto Raptors team.

The Raptors rank fifth in opponent ppg (112.5) and have been particularly adept at defending the 3-point line. Toronto is third in opponent 3-point percentage (34%) and ninth in opponent 3-pointers made per game (12.6).

While Curry is averaging five treys per game this month, that number is heavily skewed by a 12-piece against the Trail Blazers on December 14. He’s dropped Under 4.5 threes in four straight and five of his last seven.

Curry may have another solid night, but the Raptors will contain him from long range.

Warriors vs Raptors same-game parlay

This matchup should result in a defensive slugfest on paper — both the Raptors and Warriors rank among the Top 5 in points against per game as well as the Bottom 10 in ppg.

However, both teams are trending in opposite directions, which is why I lean towards the visitors. Golden State has won three straight while Toronto is 3-7 in its last 10. The Raptors also have the sixth-worst ATS record in the NBA (13-19).

Our "from downtown" SGP: Barnes dance

Scottie Barnes has four double-doubles in his last 10 outings and leads Toronto with eight boards per game this season.

The Warriors are a mediocre rebounding team with only two guys averaging more than six rebounds, so this could be another game where Barnes dominates on the glass.
