Pistons vs Celtics Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

The Pistons have won 13 straight, with Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren doing a lot of the heavy lifting while an extra-deep roster picks up the rest of the slack. This well-oiled machine will win and cover in Boston.

The Detroit Pistons will look to extend their winning streak to 14 games as they visit the Boston Celtics tonight.

Detroit is the hottest team in the NBA, and I’m taking them to cover in my Pistons vs. Celtics predictions below.

Read on to see my full analysis of this NBA Cup matchup in my free NBA picks for Wednesday, November 26.

Pistons vs Celtics prediction

Pistons vs Celtics best bet: Pistons -2.5 (-110)

After starting the year 2-2, the Detroit Pistons have rattled off 13 straight wins and are showing no signs of slowing down. Detroit has been one of the NBA’s best defensive teams, allowing only 112.6 points per game and holding opponents to 44.5% shooting from the floor.

What’s made the Pistons so hard to beat, however, is their ability to combine stops with fairly efficient offense.

Cade Cunningham is off to an outstanding start, averaging 27.1 points and 9.6 assists per game. Jalen Duren (20.3 PPG) provides a constant presence in the paint, while the team has a depth of players who can explode when needed, such as Caris LeVert, who came off the bench to score 19 points against the Pacers on Monday.

The Boston Celtics are hanging in there without Jayson Tatum, but they don’t have anywhere near Detroit's depth. The lineup has become even shorter without center Neemias Queta, who suffered a left ankle sprain on Sunday against Indiana and has been ruled out for tonight.

That injury will make an already difficult matchup that much harder for Boston, allowing Duren to run wild in the paint. I’d already like the Pistons to defeat a healthy Celtics team, and I’m confidently taking Detroit to cover with the injury to Queta.

Pistons vs Celtics same-game parlay

Along with taking the Pistons to win tonight, I’m also backing the Over, as Detroit has gone above the total in each of its last four games. I’ll also throw in a bet on Cunningham to hit the Over on his PRA total after coming in at 41+ PRA in each of his last 10 games.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
