Pelicans vs Spurs Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

The Spurs are looking strong, and Stephon Castle has been a big piece of the puzzle alongside Victor Wembanyama. Expect the sophomore guard to unleash hell on the defensively deficient Pelicans tonight.

The San Antonio Spurs have gotten off to a solid 6-2 start and look to be turning the corner after three years in the basement of the Western Conference standings.

Sophomore Stephon Castle has emerged as a key part of San Antonio’s offense, and I’ll break down why he’s poised for another big night in my Pelicans vs. Spurs predictions and NBA picks for Saturday, November 8.

Pelicans vs Spurs prediction

Pelicans vs Spurs best bet: Stephon Castle Over 23.5 points + assists (-115)

The San Antonio Spurs suffered their first two losses this past week but got right back into the win column in NBA Cup action against the Houston Rockets yesterday with a 121-110 victory.

It was another good showing from Stephon Castle, who notched his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 assists.

Most of the spotlight in San Antonio rightfully shines on Victor Wembanyama, but Castle has been just as integral to the Spurs’ early-season success.

The 21-year-old guard is averaging 18.8 points and 6.6 assists per game while hitting Over 23.5 points + assists in five straight games and six of eight this season.

I like Castle’s odds of hitting that prop again tonight vs. a bad New Orleans Pelicans defense that ranks 26th in the NBA in points allowed per game (120.8) and 28th in opponent FG% (49.4%).

Pelicans vs Spurs same-game parlay

Wemby has struggled over his last three games with just 16.7 PPG, but tonight’s matchup is a good opportunity for the former Rookie of the Year to find his scoring rhythm again.

The Pelicans will be without their top two scorers in Zion Williamson and Jordan Poole, so the Spurs should cruise to a big win on their home court.

Pelicans vs Spurs SGP

  • Stephon Castle Over 23.5 points + assists
  • Victor Wembanyama Over 24.5 points
  • Spurs -11

Our "from downtown" SGP: King of the Castle

Castle had six double-doubles last season, but his first didn’t come until late February. The sophomore already collected his first double-double of the year last night and could put up some huge numbers against one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.

Pelicans vs Spurs SGP

  • Stephon Castle Over 23.5 points + assists
  • Victor Wembanyama Over 24.5 points
  • Spurs -11
  • Stephon Castle to record a double-double
