The surging Denver Nuggets look for their eighth win in nine games when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, December 23.

Both will be playing the second half of a back-to-back, with the visiting Nuggets pegged as 7.5-point favorites in the NBA odds.

My Nuggets vs Mavericks predictions and free NBA picks have Denver avenging a loss to Dallas that started this current streak.

Nuggets vs Mavericks prediction

Nuggets vs Mavericks best bet: Nuggets -7.5 (-105)

The Denver Nuggets are 7-1 over the last eight games, and are pouring in 126.3 points per game over that stretch, shooting 52.4% from the field and a blistering 44.2% from 3-point range.

That’s more than enough to outscore the problems they have on defense, which sits 15th in the league, allowing 116 points per game.

They’re looking for revenge after dropping their only meeting with the Dallas Mavericks this season, a 131-121 defeat on a night when Nikola Jokic dropped 29 points, grabbed 20 boards, and doled out 13 assists.

Dallas has struggled recently, dropping three of four.

Injuries will play a part tonight, as the Mavericks will be without Dereck Lively III (foot), while Max Christie (illness) missed Monday’s loss to the Pelicans and is questionable Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets' Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle) will sit.

Denver is rolling on the road, reeling off 11 straight wins, with eight by double digits. They'll take care of business tonight.
