The Denver Nuggets are dealing with a slew of injuries ahead of their stop at TD Garden tonight for a tough matchup with the Boston Celtics, with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

My Nuggets vs. Celtics predictions believe Derrick White, who has been making his presence felt offensively for Boston this year, will take advantage of this matchup.

My NBA picks for Wednesday, January 7 are below.

Nuggets vs Celtics prediction

Nuggets vs Celtics best bet: Derrick White Over 18.5 points (-112)

Derrick White continues to prove his worth to the Boston Celtics, especially with Jayson Tatum sidelined this season. White is averaging 18.4 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per night while shooting 34% from 3-point land.

The University of Colorado product has cashed the Over in points in four of his last six appearances. While he dropped just 10 points on Monday, White did ball out for 29 on Saturday evening in a win over the Clippers — the same game where Jaylen Brown erupted for 50.

The 31-year-old White has averaged exactly 18.5 PPG at home in 2025-26. The Denver Nuggets are also in rough shape right now, with Nikola Jokic injured, while Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon are questionable to suit up tonight.

White should be able to pour in his fair share of buckets.

Nuggets vs Celtics same-game parlay

Payton Pritchard is averaging a career-high 16.9 PPG while shooting 33.8% from downtown, averaging 2.6 makes on 7.8 attempts.

Pritchard is sinking 2.7 triples per home contest for a 35% clip, compared to a 32% clip on the road. The Oregon product has hit the Over in treys in three of his previous six outings, and Pritchard just went 4-for-7 on Monday in a victory over the Bulls.

Injuries are never fun for any team, but Peyton Watson is running with the opportunity for increased minutes for the Nuggets. The youngster is averaging 12.2 PPG, and he’s off to a great start in January.

Watson has dropped 20+ points in every game this month, most recently showing out for 24 on Monday against the 76ers. With all of Denver’s top three guys potentially out tonight, expect Watson to step up.
