Tonight’s showdown between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks could be the deciding game of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Knicks are fighting to extend the series and push it to a Game 7 back at Madison Square Garden — but my Knicks vs. Pacers predictions and NBA picks for May 31 suggest that’s a long shot.

Myles Turner Over 13.5 points

Myles Turner Under 4.5 rebounds

No team has bounced back from losses like the Indiana Pacers this season.

The Pacers are 3-0 straight up following losses and won those contests by an average of 18.3 points. Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam aren’t the only players who’ve needed to step up in big games, though.

Myles Turner is coming off his worst offensive performance of the postseason, but is averaging 18.7 points in the games immediately following a loss.

He eclipsed 19 points in two of those outings thanks to his focus on looking for his shot and pursuit of contact to get to the charity stripe. Rebounding remains a weakness for the big man.

Turner is averaging a career-low 5.1 rebounds per game this postseason, and the New York Knicks give up the fewest rebounds per game (41.6) to opposing teams among the teams still contending for a championship.

Turner’s been held to 3.4 boards per game in the Eastern Conference finals, and things won’t get easier for him if Mitchell Robinson remains in the starting lineup for N.Y.
