There’s rarely a dull moment with the Los Angeles Clippers, but don’t read too much into their patchy early record as they face the Boston Celtics today at TD Garden.

Kawhi Leonard has missed time and Bradley Beal is done for the season, yet L.A. still has a deep, veteran roster. My Clippers vs. Celtics predictions expect James Harden & Co. to prove that point here. Dig into this November 16 matchup with my free NBA picks.

Clippers vs Celtics prediction

Clippers vs Celtics best bet: Clippers +5.5 (-110)

This is far from the start that the Los Angeles Clippers would have wanted after a turbulent preseason, but they snapped a six-game skid in Dallas on Friday behind a vintage Harden outing, and so this spread comes as a bit of a surprise.

If you line up these two squads, L.A. should be able to match a Boston Celtics starting five that’s heavily dependent on the two-way talent of Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. The bench minutes should tilt in the visitors’ favor, with Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nic Batum spearheading the second unit.

Despite a tough run against the spread this season, the Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven matchups against the Celtics — and 3-1 ATS in their past four visits to TD Garden.

It’s also worth noting that Boston is 3-3 SU at home this year, and Joe Mazzulla has had no choice but to throw fringe players from a year ago into larger roles.

With the Harden-Ivica Zubac two-man game thriving for Ty Lue’s squad, look for L.A. to take this one right to the wire.

Clippers vs Celtics same-game parlay

Zubac is poised to cash in against a thin Boston frontcourt, and he’s already had some huge rebounding hauls this year, including 15 boards against the Phoenix Suns last weekend. He should own the paint today.

Payton Pritchard has had an up-and-down start from 3-point range, but he’s bounced back after shooting 17% from beyond the arc in October. He drilled five of his 10 triples against the Memphis Grizzlies in midweek.
