The NASCAR Cup Series makes its final road course stop of 2025 at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday for the Bank of America Roval 400.
It's been all Shane Van Gisbergen this year in races involving right turns, as he's scored at Mexico City, Chicago, Sonoma, and Watkins Glen. That's why the Bank of America Roval 400 odds have him as a prohibitive favorite.
Our Bank of America Roval 400 predictions and free betting picks for October 4 will try to extract the best betting value possible for this Round of 12 cutoff race.

Bank of America Roval 400 field
It will be a 37-car field for the Bank of America Roval 400, with No. 66 Josh Bilicki joining the 36 points-eligible participants.
Shane Van Gisbergen goes for his fifth straight road course win and is a heavy favorite to accomplish the feat. Kyle Larson is the only other driver that's less than +1000 in the pre-qualifying wagering.
Not surprisingly, other road-course sharpies like A.J. Allmendinger (+1600) and Michael McDowell (+3000) are much higher up on the NASCAR odds board than usual.
Bank of America Roval 400 expert picks and predictions
Odds listed below courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook as of 10-4.
Bank of America Roval 400 pre-qualifying favorites
Christopher Bell (+1000)
Christopher Bell won in 2022 and despite finishing 15th in 2023, he rebounded to finish runner-up last year. Bell also finished eighth on the Roval in 2019.
On road courses this season, Bell won at COTA, finished second in Mexico City and Watkins Glen, ran 24th at Chicago, and fifth in Sonoma. He enters hot with playoff finishes of 29th, seventh, first, sixth, and third, respectively.
William Byron (+1000)
William Byron finished runner-up in 2023 and third last year after finishes of sixth, sixth, 11th, and 16th in his previous four Roval races. On road courses this season, he’s finished second, ninth, 40th, eighth, and fourth, respectively.
Tyler Reddick (+1200)
Tyler Reddick finished sixth and 11th the last two years after being second and eighth, respectively, in prior tries. This season, he’s finished third, 20th, third, sixth, and ninth, respectively, on road courses. He likely needs a win to advance to the Round of 8 after playoff finishes of second, 16th, 15th, 21st, and seventh, respectively.
Bank of America Roval 400 sleepers
AJ Allmendinger (+1600)
Won four of his five Xfinity Series starts here and was runner-up in the other. He led twice for 46 laps in his 2023 Cup Series win on this track, too. He also finished fourth in the 2022 Roval Cup event and sixth last year.
Chase Briscoe (+2000)
This season, he’s finished 14th, seventh, 23rd, second, and fifth, respectively, on road courses. That’s why I’m overlooking his Roval finishes of 28th and 36th the last two years. Briscoe has a Top-10 finish in all five playoff races thus far, three of which were in the Top-4.
Kyle Busch (+2800)
A pair of third-place finishes here in two of the last three years and fourth prior. He was 13th last year, however. This season, Busch has finished fifth, 37th, fifth, 10th, and 22nd, respectively, on road courses.
Bank of America Roval 400 fades
Shane Van Gisbergen (-105)
While I have faith SVG can and should win, I don’t like minus money on a race.
Among his 12 Cup Series road course starts, Shane Van Gisbergen has six Top-5 finishes and nine Top-10 results, including five wins, four of which came this season. He enters off his best career oval finish of 10th last weekend in Kansas.
Kyle Larson (+850)
He won last year after finishing 26th and 13th the last two Roval starts prior. Larson finished 32nd, 36th, 13th, 35th, and 39th on road courses this season and not had a Top-5 finish in his last nine starts on the season. This round, he’s finished seventh and sixth, respectively.
Denny Hamlin (+6500)
The number is attractive. However, Denny Hamlin has finished 12th or worse in six of his seven Roval starts. On road courses this season, he’s finished 21st, fourth, 20th, and 25th, respectively.

Bank of America Roval 400 prop pick: Chase Elliott Top-3 Finish
Chase Elliott finished fourth in COTA, 15th in Mexico City, 16th at Chicago, third in Sonoma, and 26th in Watkins Glen this season. He finished fifth here last year and enters off a Kansas win last weekend, his third Top-5 finish in the last four races on the season at that.
He is a past Roval winner, too, so watch out.
Pick: Chase Elliott Top-3 Finish (+450 at DraftKings)
Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course track analysis
Chevrolet is 4-for-5 on road courses this season, with all wins coming via Shane van Gisbergen. Also, Chevy drivers finished 1-2-3 in the 2023 season on the Roval and put two of the Top 3 finishers and five of the Top 7 on the board last year.

- Just once in seven runnings of this race has someone started in the Top 5 and won. Six of the seven started in the Top 10, though.
- Only one non-Playoff driver has won a postseason race at the Roval (AJ Allmendinger, 2023).
