It’s a classic American League East rivalry on Sunday Night Baseball with the New York Yankees visiting the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park tonight.

New York has won the first two games of the series, and my Yankees vs. Red Sox predictions and MLB picks are calling for the sweep in a high-scoring game Sunday, September 14.

Yankees vs Red Sox best bet analysis

While the Boston Red Sox are the betting favorites tonight with ace Garrett Crochet on the hill, the New York Yankees are rolling and have been a tough test for lefties.

New York ranks second in baseball in wOBA against southpaws and also ranks third in the metric across the past 30 days overall. The heater has led to a 14-5 stretch, and this will be the third time the Yankees have faced Crochet this season; they did tee him up for five earned runs in June.

On the flip side, Crochet just held New York to a single run while fanning 11 batters on August 23, but I still expect the New York lineup to have moderate success. Plus, Crochet was also knocked around for seven earned runs two starts ago against the lowly Cleveland Guardians.

New York righty Will Warren is in the midst of a sneaky run, too.

He’s allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his past 12 starts for a tidy 3.16 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, albeit one of the outliers was a loss to the Red Sox in the noted August 23 game.

Still, the Red Sox are on a 3-6 slide while ranking 21st in wOBA and 20th in ISO.

Yankees vs Red Sox same-game parlay analysis

This total caught my attention because it’s been 8.0 or higher for each of the past eight meetings between the Yankees and Red Sox.

Additionally, as noted, the Yankees are dialed in at the dish. I’m also expecting the Boston lineup to do its part to take this game Over the number, and Fenway Park ranks among the most favorable hitting environments in the majors.

Jarren Duran has recorded a hit in 10 of his past 14 games, and he’s sporting a solid .282 batting average and .375 wOBA against right-handed pitchers for the campaign.
