My Yankees vs Dodgers best bet: Over 9.5 (-115 at BetMGM)
The weather in Chavez Ravine favors the offenses on Saturday, with a temperature in the mid-80s and an 8 mph wind blowing out to right-center field. The Los Angeles Dodgers have trended toward the Over at home, going 12-3 O/U in their last 15 games.
Landon Knack gets the nod, and that’s a dangerous proposition given his 5.22 ERA and 5.35 xERA.
The former East Tennessee State product only has a 36.7% groundball rate (23rd percentile), which is troubling given the weather conditions.
He, too, allows hard contact (eighth percentile average exit velocity, seventh percentile hard-hit rate). While he’s been able to combat it better (3.45 xERA), it’s fair to question whether or not he’ll still be able to do that on Saturday on the road against a dangerous opponent.
